The Summer I Turned Pretty

LEMON SOON FOUND HERSELF SITTING on Nicole's couch, snuggled up to her boyfriend as her sister and Cameron sat at their right, talking to one another and laughing.

"Testing, testing, one, two, three." Jeremiah tapped at the microphone in his hand, "Checking out, checking out. Alright."

"Oh god, what's he doing now..." Lemon said as she sat forward, getting out of Atlas' hold, a smile on her face as her eyes stared up at her best friend.

"This one goes out to our lovely couples sitting here on this lovely couch." Jeremiah announced as he gave a teasing smile.

"Oh no!" Lemon cried out as she covered her face, her smile turning into a flustered one as she leaned into her sister, laughing alongside Belly.

"Summer lovin', had me a blast." Jeremiah sung, his eyes switching between the twins as he moved towards the four teens, forcing the mic towards the sisters.

"Oh, I don't think so." Belly instantly shook her head.

"Mm-mm." Lemon shook her head as well, "Nope, not doing it."

"Oh, come on, girls!" Jeremiah whined before pulling back - going back to singing, "I met a girl crazy for me-"

Jeremiah then leaned his back against Nicole's own - the four girls joining in singing with him, "I met a boy as cute as can be."

"Summer days drifting away, to, oh, oh, the summer nights..." Cameron soon joined in singing alongside Jeremiah, pulling Atlas with him as he went, much to the boys displeasure.

Lemon laughed softly as she watched Atlas begrudgingly stand next to Cameron and Jeremiah, watching as the blonde boy eventually began to sing - a smile slowly spreading across his face as he swung his arm over Cameron's shoulder.

"Hey," Belly nudged at her sister - leaning in closer towards her ear, "have you seen Taylor? She's been gone for awhile."

"Oh, shit, yeah." Lemon closed her eyes briefly as she shook her head, "Let's go find her."

"Okay." Belly nodded as she got up, moving past her sister and past their boyfriends and Jeremiah, Lemon following closely behind her.

The twins swept the first floor for their friend but to their unfortunates, couldn't find her. They then made their way upstairs, hoping to have some luck of finding her there.

"Taylor?" Belly called out.

As Lemon made it up the stairs, she opened the door nearest to her, "Taylor? Are you in here?"

A boy coughed harshly, "Yo, close that door!"

"Shit- sorry, my bad." Lemon let out a soft laugh as she cringed to herself, turning to face her sister. "Well, she's definitely not in there."

"I figured." Belly smiled.

"Oh, did you?" Lemon mocked as she pushed at her sister who laughed in return.
