Lydia and Adam returned to work, and we crashed onto the sofa once again. It's safe to say that now our heads are well and truly stumped.
"Well that went well", I said sarcastically.
"It can't be that bad", Adam replied, "We just need to wait and see what Arthur says."
From the moment he said that Arthur came in, and he did not look pleased.
"Listen you two. I have some bad news."
I immediately clocked him, "What is it?" I asked.
"Well..."
But just as he was about to answer, the news came on. They announced that an elderly lady died from food poisoning, an hour after we saw Simon and Alisha. And it wasn't any old lady... it was Deidre. Our hearts literally just dropped. This case is now more important than ever. I wasn't even thinking about my holiday at this point, all I thought about at this moment was to avoid being a dead girl walking.
I slowly turned to Arthur, wondering what the next steps are, "What now?" I asked.
Arthur came to sit next to us, with a sympathetic ear, "Well we still have no CCTV footage. Even the head of office won't let me have access to it. So unless you can prove you're guilty, you're now under investigation. I'm sorry. I wish I could help you further."
My world literally came on top of me. I wondered to myself what the hell am I going to do now?
