The living room was a whirlwind of energy as Logan and Liam, full of accumulated energy, tossed a large exercise ball back and forth, each throw more reckless than the last. The Aussie had come over to visit Yuki, but it didn't take long for the visit to turn into a playful chaos. Yuki, amused by the antics, stood opposite them, phone in hand, capturing the whole thing on video.
From the open kitchen, Alex noticed the escalating situation. At first, he watched out if the corner of his eye, shaking his head as he muttered to himself, "What an idiot." But as the exercise ball was hurled with increasing force and recklessness, Alex's casual observation turned into alarm. He suddenly realized who the "idiot" was. "Oh god, that's my idiot," he muttered, panic rising in his chest.
Just then, Lia's voice cut through the noise like a whip. "Logan and Liam, I warned you. Stop that shit!" Her tone was sharp, a mix of authority and concern, but it only seemed to egg the boys on. They burst into laughter, continuing their game with even more gusto.
But the laughter was short-lived. Logan misjudged the next throw, and the exercise ball hit him square in the face. The impact was hard enough to bust his lip, and the room fell silent for a moment as Logan staggered back, blinking in shock.
Alex's protective instincts kicked in instantly. He sprinted across the room, his heart racing with worry. "Logan!" he called out, his voice laced with panic as he reached his friend. "Are you okay?" Alex hovered over him, eyes wide with concern, his hands fluttering around Logan like a mother hen fussing over her chick. "Let me see, let me see," he urged, gently tilting Logan's head to inspect the damage.
Yuki, who had been recording the whole thing, quickly shoved his phone in his pocket and rushed over to Liam. "Are you okay?" he asked, his tone a mix of worry and reprimand. He fussed over Liam, but his eyes kept darting toward Logan, clearly feeling guilty about the whole situation.
Lia arrived on the scene with an ice pack in hand, her expression stern but also concerned. "Logan, hold this on your lip," she instructed, pressing the ice pack into his hand. "And you two," she added, glaring at Logan and Liam, "I told you to stop. This is why we can't have nice things."
Logan winced but managed a sheepish smile, holding the ice pack to his lip. "Sorry, Lia," he mumbled, looking a bit like a scolded puppy.
Before the situation could fully diffuse, Fernando came storming into the room, his eyes blazing with anger and worry. He had heard the commotion and was clearly not pleased with what he found. "What the hell happened here?" he demanded, his gaze locking onto Logan. "Are you okay? Who did this?"
Logan tried to play it off, but Fernando wasn't having it. "Logan," he said, his voice low and serious, "you need to be more careful. What if it had been worse?"
Logan nodded, his playful demeanor completely gone. "I'm okay, really," he assured Fernando, but the older man still looked like he was ready to tear into someone.
Lia stepped in, placing a calming hand on Fernando's arm. "It's handled, Fernando. Logan's fine, just a busted lip. No need to go all Rambo on anyone."
Fernando huffed, clearly still upset, but he let it go, instead turning his attention to Logan. "You're lucky it wasn't worse," he said, his voice softer now, but still firm.
As things calmed down, Alex continued to hover, refusing to leave Logan's side until he was absolutely sure his friend was okay. Meanwhile, Yuki and Lia took turns scolding Liam and Logan for their reckless behavior, making it clear that this kind of chaos wouldn't be tolerated again anytime soon.
In the end, the tension eased, and Logan, now with a slightly swollen lip, managed to crack a joke. "Well, at least I'm still prettier than you, Liam."
Liam laughed, albeit a bit nervously, and Yuki shook his head, muttering something about how they all needed to find safer ways to have fun.
