Trigger warning: language, violence
---
The black NBI transport van sped through the dark streets, carrying the captured drug lord in its reinforced back compartment. The mission had been successful so far, but captain Mikha Lim knew better than to let her guard down. Beside her, lieutenant Vergara kept a close eye on their surroundings, while Colet, Stacey, Gwen, and Sheena were on high alert.

The tension inside the van was high, everyone acutely aware that this could be the most dangerous part of the operation.

The radio crackled with static as the lead vehicle reported in.

"All clear up ahead" came the voice of one of the agents but captain Lim felt a knot of unease in her stomach. The streets were too quiet, the shadows too long.

Something wasn’t right.

Suddenly, without warning, the convoy was hit. Explosions rocked the street as the lead vehicle was blown off the road, and gunfire erupted from the surrounding buildings. The ambush was well-coordinated, a deadly trap set by the drug lord’s men.

"Tangina!" Colet cursed out as their vehicle spiraled on the street.

"Ambush! Lahat ng units take cover!" captain Lim shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos habang pinapaulanan sila ng bala ng mga armadong kalalakihan na naka full combat gear.

The van screeched to a halt, and everyone inside sprang into action.

"Jhoanna, i-secure mo ang girls at maghanap kayo ng alternative route, ilayo mo sila dito!" captain Lim ordered, her mind already calculating their next move.

The girls they had rescued from the human trafficking ring were being transported in a separate vehicle, now vulnerable to the attackers.

"Charlie team, back-upan ninyo si sargeant Jhoanna!"

Jhoanna, in the rear vehicle with the victims, didn’t hesitate. "Copy that, captain. Securing the girls and rerouting.Charlie team, with me!"

She barked orders to her team, swiftly moving to shield the terrified girls from the incoming fire. The charlie team closed ranks around them, forming a protective barrier as they sped off down a side street, searching for a safer route.

Meanwhile, captain Lim, along with Colet, Stacey, Gwen, and Sheena, exited the van, taking up defensive positions around the drug lord.

The men who had ambushed them were heavily armed and well-prepared, but so were captain Lim’s team. They had been in tight situations before, and they knew how to fight their way out.

Gwen quickly found cover behind a nearby car, her sniper rifle at the ready. She scanned the rooftops for targets, her sharp eyes picking out the slightest movement.

"Dalawang sniper on the west building" Gwen reported, squeezing the trigger and taking one down with a single, precise shot.

"One more down "

Colet and Stacey moved in tandem, using the van as cover as they returned fire. Colet’s shots were quick and deadly accurate, each one finding its mark, while Stacey provided suppressive fire, keeping the attackers pinned down.

"Ilayo natin sila sa van!" Colet shouted over the noise, her voice steady despite the chaos.

Sheena, crouched behind the van with captain Lim, who was busy relaying real time updates to the rest of the team, her tech skills now put to use in the heat of battle.

"Captain, may mga paparating from north and east! Darating na ang bravo team for back up, pero aabutin pa yon ng mga labinlimang minuto!"

Captain Lim remained calm, her mind racing as she assessed the situation. The drug lord, cuffed and terrified, was their top priority. He was their key to unraveling the entire operation, and they couldn’t afford to lose him.
