Taehyung's initial anxiety about his current situation had quickly turned to that of annoyance. Who were these people to infiltrate his life like this? It's not like he could avoid his former kidnappers, there's always at least one of them watching him! He's surprised that Jimin and Jeongguk (his new neighbors) haven't broken into his apartment demanding attention.

Taehyung figured that's all they wanted; the attention. Because what else could they want from him? Surely they don't go through this with everyone who saw them almost kill a guy.

Now Taehyung was at work at the cafe, dreading the impending afternoon rush. Even worse was that he now had to train Hoseok. And if memory serves him correctly it wasn't too long ago that Hoseok wanted to stab him.

"This is too complicated!" Hoseok after messing up yet another latte art. "Why do people even order this shit? It tastes the fucking same!"

Taehyung sighed, grabbing the creamer from Hoseok and delicately crafting the intricate latte. Hoseok glared at him as he made the process look easy. Taehyung handed it to the patient customer, apologizing for the wait on Hoseok's behalf.

"Why do you even work here anyways? The pay is just as shitty as the work." Hoseok snapped, hating that he had to be the one to work at the cafe.

"It's the only job that works with my schedule," Taehyung shrugged. "Plus the pay is enough to cover my rent."

The bell chimed as a group of university students walked in. Taehyung groaned, recognizing most of them from his classes. He smiled and greeted them anyway. The leader of the group's face lit up when he saw Taehyung behind the counter. "Hey, we have art history together. Tae...min, right?"

"Taehyung," he corrected, hoping to get the interaction over with. It's not like he disliked them, it's just that he's mentally done for the day.

"Right right, hey since we know each other and are friends and all do you think we could get some freebies?" the guy asked with a smile, his friends already looking at the pastries and bakery items they'll expect to be comped.

"I don't think I can," Taehyung said awkwardly. His boss had this dumb rule about never saying no to any customer.

"Oh come on, just this once? I could make it up to you sometime, take you out sometime. Just the two of us? What do you say?"

Before Taehyung could politely reject him he felt Hoseok's presence looming over him. The man stood right behind Taehyung, arms crossed and glaring at the male. "Are you just going to keep harassing him or are you going to order?" he barked out.

Taehyung's classmate practically shook at Hoseok's tone before stuttering through the order. Taehyung entered it into the post before going to make all of the drinks. "You didn't have to do that, I had it under control." Taehyung whisper-shouted at Hoseok who was now leaning nonchalantly against the counter.

"I didn't like how he was talking to you." he huffed. "Do people flirt like that with you all the time?"

Taehyung scoffed. "He wasn't flirting, he just wanted free shit."

Hoseok raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Then why is he still looking at you?" Taehyung's head snapped in the direction of the loud table, and sure enough the guy was still looking at him, smirking when Taehyung made eye contact.

"Just ignore him," Taehyung muttered, placing all of the drinks on a tray, getting ready to deliver it.

"Let me do it." Hoseok said, grabbing the tray from Taehyung. Taehyung watched as he slammed the tray on the table, telling them to enjoy it with a condescending smile.

The rest of Taehyung's shift was thankfully uneventful, especially since Hoseok got off a few hours earlier. Taehyung stepped out of the cafe and locked the door, when he turned around he didn't expect to see Hoseok standing there, waiting for him.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Taehyung asked, naively thinking he was done with the male for the day.

"You're not walking home alone at this hour. It's dark." Hoseok explained.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "I walk home alone in the dark all the time. I don't need a fucking protector."

Hoseok shook his head. "It's not a negotiation. Now come on, it's getting cold and I wanna go home too." Hoseok then started walking in the direction of Taehyung's apartment, expecting the male to follow.

"Why am I not surprised that you already know where I live."

After an excruciatingly long day Taehyung was finally able to crawl into bed and he just wanted to sleep. As soon as he closes his eyes he hears a loud banging on his front door, the knocking waking up Yeontan and setting him off on a chorus of barking. So much for his quiet night.

"Who the fuck could that be?" Taehyung groaned to himself, checking his phone to see that it was past eleven.

"Apartment checks!" the voice on the other side of the door said. Oh great, it was his new landlord Seokjin.

"Apartment checks aren't a think, asshole." Taehyung said cockily, opening the door to see Seokjin standing there. "And even if they were they wouldn't be this late at night."

"I had a busy day, what can I say," Seokjin said with a mischievous smirk. "Plus they are a thing now, atleast they are for you."

Seokjin waltz right past Taehyung, looking around the admittedly messy space. Taehyung groaned, realizing that it would be faster and easier to just let Seokjin look around than to fight him on this.

"You need to buy some curtains or something, any creep or pervert could look in here," Seokjin noted.

"Yeah, because the people outside are the creeps," Taehyung muttered.

"I heard that!"

"You were supposed to."

Taehyung flopped down on the couch, arms crossed as he watched Seokjin look through his apartment. "You really can't just barge in like this. What if I was changing or in the shower?"

Seokjin smirked. "All the more reason to barge in like this." Taehyung flushed, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at the man. Seokjin caught it before tossing it to the side. "Everything looks good, I'll see myself out." Seokjin said before walking towards the door. "Also don't worry about rent this month, it's covered."

As soon as he was gone Taehyung dramatically sighed and laid down on the couch. Why were all of these men so damn confusing?
