I can't believe I thought he was going to leave me. I can't believe I was even worried. We have grown too tightly together for anyone or anything to tear us apart. And soon we'll be even living together.

"Do you want me to move here or do you want to live in my place?" Peeta asks me. I'm still laying head on his lap and the fireplace is glowing of warmth.

"Well, as much as this house has some bad memories, I don't think I can leave behind everything that is hers. So if you don't mind..."

"So we'll be living here then. Perfect." His happy blue eyes are almost glowing in the light of the fire and I rise my hand to run my fingers through his beautiful blond hair, that's starting to slightly fall over his eyes. I am feeling so peaceful and good... happy. I can almost forget about everything happened in the past for a moment and only live right here.

"I wish we could live here forever", I say.

"Well we can. I'm not planning on moving out too soon", he says and rises his eyebrows causing small wrinkles appear on his forehead. I touch them with my fingertips before answering:

"No I mean like in this very moment." Then a perfect quote of his comes to my mind. "I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now, and live in it forever." I grin at him.

"I said that on the roof. Real or not real?"

"Real. I just thought I'd use that instead of trying to put my own thoughts into words because you do it so much better than me", I say and push the blond curls away from his forehead. He just smiles down at me.

"Would you like to have some lunch now? I'm beginning to feel a tiny bit hungry", Peeta says and takes my hand from his hair, kisses the back of it and then entwines our fingers.

"I would like that, thank you", I answer him and stand up, pulling him up after me.

"How was Haymitch by the way?" I ask him as I scoop more of our lunch soup on my spoon.

"He still had a quite high fever, but he was doing alright. He didn't have a bottle anywhere near him, which is good. Oh and he told me to thank you for him." I smile before eating more. The grumpy man thanked me.

"We should bring him some of this soup. It'll be good for him."

He agrees and after we have eaten we pour some into a bowl to bring him.

"We can also tell him our news. He can be the first one", Peeta says and playfully pokes my arm. I give him a glare and tell him not to touch me unless he wants to find the soup on the snow, since I am carrying the bowl as we head over to Haymitch's house. He chuckles and opens the door for me. We head upstairs and find him in his bed sleeping.

"Haymitch", Peeta says shakes his shoulder. He doesn't respond.

"You need to shake him harder", I say and place the bowl on the nightstand. Then I shake him myself. Finally he wakes up and stares at us. His eyes don't look as sick they did yesterday, but they don't look healthy either.

"Hello. How are you feeling?" I ask him.

"Sick, but okay I guess", he says with a dry and sick voice.

"We brought you some soup", Peeta says and hands him the still a little warm bowl. Haymitch thanks him and drinks the soup from the minty coloured cup. "Effie's coming in a couple hours", Peeta says catching Haymitch's attention.

"She is? Why would she want to see me like this?" Haymitch asks.

"She cares for you", Peeta says and takes the empty bowl that Haymitch is holding out. "Are you two dating or something?"

"What?! Nooo."

Peeta and I just raise our eyebrows at him.

"Well, I don't know. We have never really talked about it, but we do enjoy each others company and ughhh I don't know."

We smile at him and tell him that we're happy for them. He just awkwardly nods. Before the whole thing gets too awkward, Peeta changes the subject:

"So Katniss and I have some news to tell you."

"You aren't knocked up are you Sweetheart?"

"No!" I shriek. Haymitch laughs at me, but soon his laugh turns into coughs and when he finally can catch his breath, he asks us what it is then.

"We're moving in together", Peeta says proud.

"Don't you live together already?" he asks.

"Well kinda, but in two houses, like we still have our own houses. We would really like to live in one together", Peeta explains.

"That's nice, I'm truly happy for you."

"Thank you Haymitch", I say. After that we tell him to get better soon and leave him to sleep.

"Would you like to come downtown with me? I need to get more flour", Peeta asks me as he closes Haymich's door.

"Yeah, I wouldn't mind a bit of fresh air."

"Great. Lets go!" He says and grabs my hand.

As we're walking we see the big building - well more like a factory - is now ready. We ask the cashier, if she knows what it's for. She says that it's going to be a medicine factory. It will be start working in a few weeks. All the capitol machines has done a good job with the town. Houses are built and people have moved here to work, building district 12 back, and to work in the factory. Also we see many faces that managed to escape the bombing and fled to district 13. Now they have returned. This is our home after all. All the dead have been moved into a mass grave in the west of twelve, so we aren't even walking on them anymore.

I spoke with Thom a few months ago and he let me know that even the Mayor's family now rests there as well. I cried when I found out that the beautiful and brave Madge was found dead in her home. She was the only friend I had besides Gale.

When we're again outside the shop my eyes spot something I never thought I'd ever see again. Prim. She has her back to me and her blond hair is on a braid that falls down her back. She has a white goat in a rope next to her. I'm just staring at her and before I even realise it I'm taking steps towards her.
