With Two People In A Hall

Two People. One With Lilac Hair and a calm disposition. She was short and petite for her age and needed a cane to walk. The other was tall but also bald. He wore a very professional aura around him. They were looking at the Class Points.

Class A: 940 --> Class A: 1014
Class B: 650--> Class B: 689 (Class B Earning Only 13 Points Is Bullshit. They're supposed to be the second-best Class Among The 1st Years. I know the school doesn't judge purely based on Academics but 13? Seriously?)
Class C: 490--> Class C: 492
Class D: 0 --> Class D: 80

"It's strange. Class C only earned 2 points."

"Oh Katsuragi-Kun. Don't you get it? They intentionally lowered their scores. They likely only answered one question each. That way the Class Average would be so low that it would be impossible for classmates to be expelled."

"But who would have the audacity to pull off such a stunt in a school like this of all places?"

"Why it's Ryuen-Kun of course."

"Ryuen huh. Hm. He is a dangerous man given his reputation as a delinquent. You should be careful Sakayanagi."

"Oh my. You're not honestly suggesting I'd lose to someone like him are you?"

Sakayanagi turned around beginning to walk away.

"But the most surprising thing is Class D. They somehow managed to gain 80 points. If I'm right about the Class Points received are equal to the class average correct?"

She stopped.

"Right, you are Katsuragi-Kun. Ryuen-Kun made quite a gamble with that move. If there had been a rule in place that expelled students under a threshold his whole class would have been wiped out before the term really got underway."

"Though in the end it was guaranteed to either save all his classmates or get them all expelled. It just happened to work out in his favour."

"Yes. I suppose you're right."

"And what of Class D?"

"What about them?"

"You don't sound surprised by their victory over us."

She turned her head to face him.

"Why I have no idea what you mean."

She said that and continued walking away.

"Well, it's no matter. 80 points won't make them a threat to us."

Sakayanagi smiled as she walked away.

I was sitting with Horikita as we had just managed to save Sudo the other day. I had however noticed something.

"Hey, Horikita. Thanks."

"For what?"

"Helping me save Sudo."

"I did that so I could reach Class A. No other reason."

"Is that the only reason?"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"You reduced your English Score on purpose, didn't you? To help Sudo. You scored a perfect 100 on everything. I mean with your talent it would be strange if you didn't while having been able to practice from the Past Papers but you got a 51 in English? The subject Sudo was particularly struggling with?"
