Outside-Ayanokoji POV
These Special Tests are so troublesome. In a normal school, I'd assume they were referring to something like a difficult academic quiz or physical exam but I this school they took a different approach at times. This was obvious from the Island Exam and the Zodiac Exam. They seemed to want to encourage out-of-the-box thinking. Most would either outright hate it or love it but to me it is just troublesome. Even still this school is freeing for me so it doesn't matter how difficult the exams are or that a teacher is coercing me into giving it my all.
Ping
I checked my phone. Sudo had transferred me some points. He was paying me back when I paid for his food.
Ring Ring
I picked up my phone.
"Hey Ayanokoji. Do you think Horikita would like Fortune Telling?"
"Sudo. Why are you asking me that? Shouldn't it be obvious? It is Horikita."
"I know but I really want to go with her. But if she doesn't want to I guess we could go together."
I sighed.
"You want me to ask her don't you?"
"Please?"
"Why am I the messenger?"
"Because you're the only person she ever talks to."
"Fine. I'll call you in a sec with her response."
I ended the call and dialled another number.
"What is it Ayanokoji?"
"Do you like Fortune Telling?"
"You're not asking me to go with you are you? To that new installation at Keyaki Mall."
"Why? You don't want to?"
Horikita sighed.
"You don't believe in that nonsense do you?"
"I believe that people fall victim to being scammed by it every day."
Horikita chuckled.
"That was actually pretty funny. Just what are you suggesting then?"
"I bet that you can't catch them in the act."
"Oh? Is that so?"
"What's wrong? Can't do it?"
"With the way you're saying that in such a monotone voice I can't tell if you're taunting me or genuinelyasking a question."
"..."
I could hear Horikita sighing again.
"Fine. What are the things I need to do?"
"You have figure out how they're doing it and prove it."
"And who exactly would be there to witness it?"
"Sudo."
"Sudo? So I have to explain it to him on top of this?"
"Yes."
"50, 000 Private Points bet."
"Agreed."
