CHAPTER 6

Side story

Days before Tae Hyun's death

Tae Hyun is on the US to attend an important event for their company. He's drinking his beer while looking at his ex girlfriend's picture. She broke up with him when she found out about his arrange marriage to Ji Min.

He cries as he recalled that day, the day that he see her crying and in pain while saying goodbye to him. He take the necklace and look to it. "Im sorry for hurting you..." He said.

His phone beep and he immediately open it.

'She's pregnant dude and she's about to gave birth this week. I found out recently and i think you need to know about it'

From: Min Ho

He got so shocked to read it and see the sonogram photo that his friend sent him. "I'm going to be a father?" He said.

He try to call her but her phone has been turned off. He immediately book a flight to Seoul. And pack his stuff.

He look to his ex girlfriend photo. "I swear, I'll fix everything when I go back. I will marry you and we will raise our child together." He said.

Present days

Tae Gu is seated on his swivel chair inside his office when he receive a text from Min Ho, Tae Hyun's bestfriend.

'Let's meet when I get back to Korea. I'll return next month.

Tae Gu close his phone and rest his back on the chair. "Maybe Hyung, try to hide it from our father." He said. And he suddenly recall that night when they got an accident. "In Daegu! Yes, we're heading towards to Daegu that night." He said. His thought got interrupted when Mr. Kim enter the room.

Mr. Kim approach him. "CEO Min, the marketing team is already in the meeting room waiting on you." He said. "Arasso..." He said.

Chae Yoon is busy on preparing their lunch when Sam Suk enter the door and screaming happily. "Gosh! You startled me!" She said. Tae Ji also went outside from his room. "What happened, Auntie?" He asked. Chae Yoon also look to her bestfriend.

"Auntie is so happy because your mother is going to be a model." Sam suk said. "What?" Chae Yoon said and approach her. "A model? Eomma will be a model?" He asked. Sam suk nodded.

"Yah! What are you talking about?" She said. "You passed the audition! Im so happy for you,Chae Yoon." She said. Chae Yoon got confused. "Audition? I couldnt remember that I went on an  audition!" Said. Sam suk let out a sweet smile. "Hae ra and me sent your sample photos and Ta-da! I received an email from our company that you passed the audition." She said.

"What??!" Chae Yoon said.

"Eomma...You will like Son Ye Jin,right? Posing infront of camera and smiling?" Tae Ji said. Chae Yoon mess his hair. "Go and wash up, I will talk to your Aunt first and we will eat after." She said.

Tae Ji follow her and he go back to his room.

Chae Yoon pull her hair. "Yah! Why you didnt inform me about it?" She said. "We knew you, you will never do it. So we did it for you." Sam suk said. "Come on! This is for Tae Ji's future and at the same time its also for you. I mean.. Its a year contract so you can save more money for Tae Ji's school and at the same time for your daily needs." She said. "Think of it, there's two more therapy session he needs to attend,right?" Sam Suk added.

Chae Yoon let out a deep sigh while looking at her bestfriend.

Ji Min is having his breakfast with her father. "Its been seven years since Tae Hyun passed away." He said. "If he didnt died that day. He will be your husband not his younger brother. I want him for you instead of Tae Gu." He said. "Appa... Tae Hyun is already death." She said. "I think it was fate. I didnt love him back then. But Tae Gu, I really love him.. Appa." She said. "Thats why I suggest you to arrange my marriage with him. Because I want him." She said. Her father look at her, "What about him? Is he love you too?" He asked. Ji Min couldnt speak. She drink her juice before she speak. "Were getting there... Tae Gu is good on hiding his feelings. But I know he will love me back." She said.

Tae Gu is silently listening to the marketing team on how the product will launch on television and social media sites. They also suggesting to release it on billboard. "When I can meet the model?" He asked. "Tomorrow,CEO Min. She will sign the contract tomorrow." Ms. Na said. "That's good.. How about the pictorial?" He asked. "The day after tomorrow, CEO Min." She said.  "Okay... Well, that's it! Congratulations because I really like your report Ms. Na and also I appreciate your effort and your team as well." Tae Gu said. Because of it, we will having a dinner tomorrow night with our new model." He said.

"Kamsahamnida, CEO Min." She said. 

Tae Gu immediately went back to his office as soon as the meeting end. He rested his head trying to take a nap. But a pair of eye smile appear as he close her yes.

"Is there any chance that I will meet you again?" He said. 

After his work, he drive on his favorite place in Seoul. The bus stop where he first seen the mysterious girl that keeps running on his mind. He waiting with a hope that he will have a chance to see her. But two hours has been passed, he didn't see her.

"You're such a fool, Tae Gu. You didn't ask her number and her address that night." He said as he hit his head.

Chae Yoon move from Daegu to Seoul because their house in Daegu is already owned by the bank because of their loan.

She always carry Tae Ji wherever she's going.

"Look at her... She's young to be a mother."

"She's a single mother I bet the father of her baby run away when she told him she's pregnant."

"She's so stupid to believe in man's promises."

Every day she heard those hurtful words but she decide to ignore it for Tae Ji.

She's looking at him while he's sound asleep. "I will take care of you, don't worry... I promise, I will raise you with love and I will do everything just to make you happy, my Tae Ji." She said and kiss his little hand.
