A Night to remember

CHAPTER 10

Tae Gu and Tae Ji seated opposite to each other. Tae Gu looks at him then he smile While Tae Ji look at him intently without any blink.

Chae Yoon is busy on preparing their dinner so she didn't notice them.

"Who are you? Why you're with my mom?" He asked. Tae Gu smile. "Im Ms. Ha's boss." He said. "Is that all?" Tae Ji asked. Tae Gu try to control his laughter. This little boy in front of him is like a police officer who interrogates him.

Tad Gu look at him and his eyes and nose is looks like familiar to him.

Chae Yoon put the foods on the table and she seated next to Tae Ji. Tae Gu look at them. "Let's eat.." She said. "CEO Min, enjoy your food." She said. Tae Ji got jealous because this is the first time that his mother bring a guy on their house. Chae Yoon notice him,  "You too my little Prince... Enjoy your food, Arasso?" She said and kiss him on his forehead. Tae Ji becomes happy and he let out a wide smile. Tae Gu is smiling while watching the two who is very sweet to each other. Tae Ji always putting a spoon of rice to feed his mother and Chae Yoon always put some meat on his bowl.

Tae Gu look at her.

"I have to call Auntie Sam suk." Chae Yoon said to Tae Ji. "Excuse me, CEO Min.." She said.

When Chae Yoon left, Tae Gu look at him. "Is your father is still at work?" He asked try to know if Chae Yoon is married. Tae Ji look at him. "I don't have a father. Eomma is my father too. We only have each other so please... Don't take her away from me." Tae Ji said. Tae Gu look at him. "I have no intention to take your mother away from you,little boy." He said and he start eating.

"I want her to be happy and to have someone in her life but... Someone told me mostly a guy who fall inlove with a single mom just like my mom, he didn't want the child and he only wants the mother." He said.

Tae Gu stop and look at him. He mess his hair and smile.

"You think, your mother will allow it?" He said. Tae Ji look at him. "I see in her how she really loves you." He said. Tae Ji let out a small smile.

"I think you're a good guy... Can I call you uncle?" He asked. Tae Gu smile. "Before that, Can i know your name?" He said.

"Ha Tae Ji..." He said.

Tae Gu frowned.  Tae ji... In his mind.

"How about you, Uncle?" He asked.

"Min Tae Gu..." He said while still looking at his facial features.

'Why he reminds me of you?Hyung...' In his thought.

"Uncle Tae Gu, it's nice to meet you.' Tae Ji said happily.

After they eat, Tae Ji went back to his room to continue doing his assignment while Chae Yoon and Tae Gu decide to walk outside near the apartment building.

"You're son is handsome and mature in his age." He said as he started a conversation. Chae Yoon smile. "Thank you..." She said.

"Is he the reason why you need to be on the hotel that night when I met you?" He asked. Chae Yoon look at him. She didn't use to talk about her private life but she feel so comfortable with him. "Yes..." She said. "He had an accident when he was six and he needs a surgery immediately so I need a large sum of money that time. But my saving is not enough." She said. "So, I decided to grab that opportunity." She added. Tae gu look at her and she amazed him more. "But thanks to you... You saved me that night." She smiled. Tae Gu smile and he feel his ears are getting red because of her compliment.

"I'm sorry to say this but, his father... You have every rights to ask for a help." He said. Chae Yoon look at him but she didn't speak. "Since Tae Ji came to my life,  I told to myself that I will raised him alone without any help from his father who abandoned him." She said.

Tae Gu look away as he feel her pain. Chae Yoon smile. "Sorry, If I telling you about it." She said. Tae Gu look at her and he remember his brother's situation back then. "I understand how it's hard for you to raise your son alone." He said. Chae Yoon look at him. "But maybe, he also has a reason why he needs to do that.." He added. Chae Yoon smirked. "A reason to abandoned his pregnant girlfriend and his own child? How pathetic..." She said. She get emotional everytime she recalled the day that Tae Ji was born. "What kind of a man will do that? I waited for years but he never went to our house to show that he still care until we move here in Seoul." She said.

Tae Gu didn't know how to comfort her. He also think what kind of a guy he is. Chae Yoon seems to be a good woman and a loving mother, that guy is stupid to abandoned her, In Tae Gu's thought.

"Im sorry, CEO Min... I get so emotional." She said. Tae Gu smile. "It's okay..." He said.

While  driving heading back to his place. He thinks about their conversation earlier. He didn't expect that Chae Yoon is already a mother and he feel hurt when she tell him a glimpse about her past.

Tae Gu smile when he recalled Tae Ji's face. He got so confused why he reminds him of his late brother. He suddenly make a U turn and decide to drive towards to their house.

"Tae Gu, I'm surprised that you're here." Mr. Min said when he see his son enter the door. "Appa... Good evening." He said. "Have a seat and join me let's have a tea." Mr. Min said.

Tae gu seated opposite on his father. "Tae gu, how's your relationship with Ji Min?" He asked. Tae Gu didn't speak. "Her father got worry that his daughter will only suffer when she get marry to you." Mr. Min said and look at him. "Don't disapoint me this time, Tae Gu." He said.

Tae Gu took a deep breath before he speak. "Do I have to marry her, Appa?" He asked. Mr. Min got startled and also Tae Gu got shocked. This is the first time that he voice out to his father what he really feels.

"Min Tae Gu! It's a long time commitment. If your brother didn't died that day, for sure... He and Ji Min are happily married now." He said.

Tae Gu clench his fist. "Are you sure that Hyung will really happy if he get marry to Ji Min?" He asked. Mr. Min look at him. "Appa... What if Hyung has a girlfriend and he keep it secret to you and... He has a child that he needs to abandoned because of that fucking commitment?" He said. Mr. Min look at him with puzzlement. "What did you say?" Mr. Min asked. "Your brother has a child?" He said.

Mr. Min stood up and look at him. "Tell me the truth, Tae Gu! Is your brother has a child?" He said. Tae Gu look at his father and nodded.
