CHAPTER 15

Side story

Tae Gu started to unbutton her blouse but a knock on the door got interrupt them. Tae Gu immediately assist her to stand up and fix herself. Another knock on the door, Tae Gu got frustrated.

Chae Yoon see the bouquet of peonies is on the floor. Tae Gu try to control his annoyance when he open the door.

Sun Jae look at them.

"Oh!maybe there's a tornado inside to your office, Tae Gu?" He said as he looks at the things and papers on the floor. Chae Yoon felt embarassed and cover her face. "Please excuse me, I have to go to the washroom." She said and she left them in the room. 

Tae Gu pick all the things on the floor while Sun Jae keep smiling while looking at him. "The great Min Tae Gu who known as a perfect son and never did reckless moves on his entire life is now doing little crazy stuff with his personal assistant." Sun Jae teased him. "I told you, when you found your soulmate you cannot think right."Sun Jae added. "Shut up!" He said.

Tae Gu saw the bouquet and his mood suddenly change. He pick it and throw it on the trash bin. Sun Jae smile while observing him. "You know that I support you and I'm  glad that you found someone who captured your heart, Tae Gu." Sun Jae said. "But you still engaged to Ji Min. Eventhough it's an arrange or not. In the eyes of everyone, you and her are couple. Is Ms. Ha know about it?" He said.

Tae Gu look at him. Sun Jae tap him on his shoulder. "Tae Gu, you need to fix everything first before it's too late. I bet there's also someone who try to win Ms. Ha." Sun Jae said while looking at the bouquet.

Tae Gu loosen his tie when Sun Jae left. He is surely know that Chae Yoon is the owner of his heart. His intention for her is genuinely and pure but what Sun Jae told him, he realized something. He didn't want Chae Yoon to get hurt. He needs to fix everything for Chae Yoon. Now, he has his reason to back out on that long term commitment, and that is he wanted to be with Chae Yoon. If there is a woman who wants to be his wife, it's Ha Chae Yoon.

Present days

Ji Min got curious why Tae Gu didn't answer her calls. It's been month he didn't went to their house to visit him.  "Ji Min, it's look like that your boyfriend forget his duty." Her father said. Ji Min didn't speak. "Are you checking on him? Tell me the truth, Is Tae Gu has a feelings for you or not?" Mr. Kang said. "Appa... Im sure of it. Tae Gu is busy on their company that's all. You dont have to get worry." She said. Mr. Kang look at her.

Ji Min throw her pillow when she enter her room. She got annoyed because he couldn't reach Tae Gu. She take her purse and car key and decide to go to Tae Gu's company.

Meanwhile, Tae Gu is on the office alone. Chae Yoon told him that she's having lunch with Sam Suk and some of the employees. A knock on the door interrupt on his doing. Mr. Kim approach him. "CEO Min, Min Ho is here and want to talk to you." He said. Tae Gu smile as soon as he heard it. "Tell him to come in." He said.

"Have a seat." He said. Min Ho smile and look around. "It's been years since I enter this room." He said. "I used to hang out here because your brother always busy on the company." He said.  Tae Gu smile as he remember his brother. "And I think, you remind me of him, Tae Gu." Min Ho said. Tae Gu smile. He seated opposite to him and hand him the necklace that has an initial HCY.

"I found this on his hand before he passed away." Tae Gu said. Min Ho look at the necklace. "So I guess, you didn't know his secret relationship to an ordinary girl who captured his heart." Min Ho said. Tae Gu look at him.

Min Ho recalled how Tae Hyun fall inlove to that girl.

Flashback

Min Ho try to stop Tae Hyun on drinking his liquor. "You should stop! You're drunk already." He said. "Let me get drunk and die tonight, Min Ho!" He said. "Yah! What's your problem, dude?" Min Ho asked. "Im going crazy... I want to have someone, someone so dearly to me but I can't because of that long time commitment." Tae Hyun said. Min Ho understand what he's saying. "Its about the lady that we met in Daegu, Am I right?" Min Ho said. Tae Hyun nodded. "Wow! Love at first sight is really existed!" Min Ho said.

Tae Hyun met her in a cafe. She's an employee there when Tae Hyun saw her. It was fast to developed their feelings for each other. Min Ho finds out that his bestfriend Tae Hyun and that girl is already in a relationship before they got back to Seoul. Since then, Tae Hyun always think about her.

"You need to choose, Tae Hyun." Min Ho said. "You know if your father will find out about your having a relationship with an ordinary girl like her, it will cause chaos." He said. "Are you willing to sacrifice everything for her? If yes, then go love her all you want and I support you." Min Ho said.

Tae Hyun drink his whiskey. "I want to tell her the truth and fix everything but Im afraid that I will loose her." He said. "You will loose her if you continue to hide her. You must face the obstacle for you to succeed." Min Ho said.

Tae Hyun look at him.

End of flashback

"Ha Chae Young... Is the only girl who captured Tae Hyun"s heart." Min Ho said. Tae Gu got shocked. "Ha Chae Young?" He said. Min Ho look at him. "She's living in Daegu before with her sister, If Im not mistaken her name is Chae Yoon." He said.

Tae Gu got surprised on what he learned. He suddenly think about Tae Ji. Min Ho look at him. "Tae Gu, your brother had a child with her. Its late when he know about it. Chae Young broke up with him when she found out about his engagement with Ji Min before and she didn't tell him her pregnancy. But when your brother found out about it, he's willing to fix everything and be a responsible father to their child but it's too late." He said. "What happened?" Tae Gu asked.  "Chae Young died while giving birth. She died the day when you and your brother got into an accident." Min Ho said.

Tae Gu got emotional. He feel hurt for his brother when he learned about them. "How about the child?" He asked. Min Ho look at him. "I heard he also in critical condition back then but when I came back to the hospital they both gone with Chae Young's sister." He said. "I didn't know where to find them. My information about Chae Young is limited." He added.

"I didn't tell what I know because the last time I talk to your brother before he died, he wants to protect her and their child from your father." He said.
"

Im sorry if I keep my silence for years." Min Ho said.

Tae Gu's eyes are now filled with tears. "So there's a possibility that Tae Ji is my nephew.." He whispered.

When Min Ho left, Chae Yoon suddenly enter the office. Tae Gu look at her and he got so emotional because Chae Yoon sacrifice a lot for Tae Ji. He immediately walk towards to her and hug her. Chae Yoon got startled. "Wae? Is there something happened?" She asked. Tae Gu hug her tightly, "just remain like this. Holding you with my arms." He whispered as he close his eyes.
