CHAPTER 16

Side story

"You're pregnant!?" Chae Yoon said. Chae Young didn't speak. "How did it happened? Yah! Eonnie... You had a boyfriend?" Chae Yoon got shocked. All this time, Chae Young is hiding a secret on her. Chae Young cry as she touching her tummy. "Eonnie!" She said. Chae Yoon try to calm herself and sit next to her. "But you can't be pregnant. It's too risky for you. You have a weak heart and you know it." Chae Yoon said. Chae Young cries, "I know but what shoud I do? This is my child... He is the only one left that binds me in the guy that I really love." She said. Chae Yoon look at her. "What do you mean, Eonnie?" She asked. Chae Young look at her. "We're over... The father of my baby and me broke up last month." Chae Young said. "What?" Chae Yoon said and she was so shocked. "What should you do now? He must help you on raising your child, tell me who is he? I will talk to him." Chae Yoon said. Chae Young hold her hand.

"Please... This is for the better, Chae Yoon. I don't want any conflicts and I want a peacful life for my child." Chae Young said. Chae Yoon look at her sister. Chae Young cries, "I just found out that he already engaged to someone." She said. Chae Yoon got shocked. "What?" She said and her anger suddenly aroused. "It's sad but this child is a fruit of our sinful love." Chae Young cries. Chae Yoon hug her sister to comfort her. She want to yell at her because of her being blinded by love but she choose to keep her silence and comfort her.

Chae Yoon saw how her sister suffered in nine months of her pregnancy journey. She needs to stay in the hospital for almost a week before her due date because her heart is got weaker day by day. The baby also has a weak pulse that time.

"Chae Yoon shhi..." Chae Young called her sister with her weak voice. "Wae? You should rest...." Chae Yoon said. "If I couldn't make it... Please name my son,  Tae Ji..." She said. "Yah! Please dont say that... You can make it and we will raise him together, Arasso?" Chae Yoon said and let out a force smile trying to control her worries.

Chae young hold her hand. "Promise me that you will take care of him. That you will love him as your own child." She said. Chae Yoon didn't speak. "Chae Yoon, please raise my son well and stay with him until he got his own family, Arasso?" She said and tears flowing down from her eyes.

Chae Yoon wipe her tears. "Yah! Ha Chae Young! Don't talk like that as if you will leave me for good." Chae Yoon said. She hold her sister hand and smile. "Arasso... I will love him with all my heart, happy?" She said. Chae Young smile.

Days after

"Im sorry but your sister didn't make it. Her heart stop from beating as soon as the baby take out from her womb." The doctor said.

Chae Yoon cries with no sound and she fall on the ground. Sam suk comfort her and hug her.

"Eonnie..." She cried.

Present days

Tae Gu released her from his hug. Chae Yoon look at him. She was about to walk to give him a glass of water but Tae Gu hold her hand and gently pull her. "Are you okay?" She asked. "Let's fetch Tae Ji in his school." He said. Chae Yoon look at him with puzzlement. "It's office hour, CEO Min.  And there's someone will fetch him." She said. "But I want to see him." He said. Chae Yoon look at him with puzzlement.

"What's this?" Ji Min said and look at their hand that still entwined. Chae Yoon immediately pull her hand from his hand.

"Ji Min.." Tae Gu said and he got startled when he see her. "What are you doing here?" He said. Ji Min look to Chae Yoon. "Who are you?" She said. Chae Yoon smile and greet her but she couldn't introduce herself properly because she's getting confused on what she is in Tae Gu's life.

Tae Gu immediately pull Ji Min out from the office. Chae Yoon look at them. "Is she his sister that he's talking about?" She said.

"Who is she? Why she's in your office?" Ji Min said. Tae Gu is about to tell her the truth but Mr. Kim see them and approach them. "Ms. Kang.." Mr. Kim said. "She's Ha Chae Yoon the new personal Assistant of CEO Kim." Mr. Kim said. Ji Min look at the two. "A personal assistant? Inside to your office?" She said. She look to Tae Gu. She knew there's something about that girl but she decide to ignore it because she's afraid on what Tae Gu will answer if she's going to ask him again. "Im just here to remind you our wedding, Tae Gu. I hope you didn't forget about it." She said. Tae Gu clench his fist.

"Let's have some lunch together..." She said. "I can't..." He said. Mr. Kim and Ji Min look at him. Tae Gu look at her. "If you want, Mr. Kim will join you but don't expect me to join you today." Tae Gu said. "What?" Ji Min said as she was so shocked. "I'm busy, Ji Min... Let's meet next time and I have something to discuss to you." He said. He immediately walk heading back to his office. Honestly, he really feel anxious on Chae Yoon's reaction.

"Yah! Min Tae Gu!" Ji Min scream. She feel annoyed and hurt. "Let's go, Ms. Kang? It's your treat or my treat?" Mr. Kim said to lighten the mood but Ji Min got more annoyed. "Shut up!" She said and she walk away from him.

Mr. Kim release a breath of relief. "Tae Gu needs to fix this. If his father will know about Ms. Ha." He said.

Chae Yoon smile while looking at him. "Wae? Why you're smiling like that?" Tae Gu said. "Nothing... I'm just happy because you and Tae Ji are close to each other." Chae Yoon said.

They're on the school lobby waiting for Tae Ji. They left early from the office to fetch Tae Ji as Tae Gu's requested.

"Eomma!" Tae Ji called happily when he see her. Chae Yoon smile and approach him. He hug him tightly and kiss her on her cheeks. "How's your day, little prince?" She asked. "It was good..." Tae Ji said. "Oh! Uncle Tae Gu!" Tae ji said and he was so surprised to see him. Tae Gu carry him, "what's up buddy?" He said. Tae Ji kiss him on his cheek and Tae Gu smile and hug him.

Chae Yoon look at the two. She feel really happy while watching them.

Chae Yoon decide to cook for their dinner. While Tae Gu and Tae Ji playing video games on the living room.

The doorbell rings and Chae Yoon immediately walk towards to the door.

"Good evening... Are you Tae Ji's mother?" Mrs. Jung said. Chae Yoon nodded. "Can I ask your permission, my son wants to experience to have overnight with his friends but he can't because of his conditions." She said. "He couldn't walk." She said.

Tae Ji approach his mother. "Can I Eomma?" He said. Tae Gu is standing behind him. Chae Yoon look at him. "Can I sleep in Seun Ho's house for tonight?" He asked. Chae Yoon recalled the day that Tae ji couldn't walk. She smile and nodded. "Sure... But promise me to behave in someone else's house, Arasso?" She said. Tae Ji nodded happily and immediately went to his room to pack his things. "Thank you Ms. Ha..." Mrs. Jung said. "Please take care of my son..." Chae Yoon said.

"Uncle, please stay with my mom tonight, Arasso? I don't want to leave her alone but my friend need me too." Tae Ji said. "Don't worry I will never leave your mom alone, I'll promise!" He said. Tae Ji hug him. "Thank you, Uncle Tae Gu." He said. Tae Gu hug him tightly and kiss him on his head.

'She raised your son well, Hyung...' In his mind.
