I was in my office when it was a knock on the door. "Come in." I said. "Hello Jack." replied Peter. "What are you doing here?" I asked surprised. "I wanted to see you." he said and smiled. "I'm busy." I replied. "Aren't you happy to see me?" he asked. "Why'd I be happy? you cheated on me with my brother." I said.
"No offense, but your brother is so much better in bed." replied Peter. "Good for you." I said and rolled his eyes. "Can you please leave?" I asked. "Fine." said Peter and left.

I was in the kitchen and baked. Adam went up to me and wiped off some flour from my cheek. I smiled at him and gave him a kiss.

"How was your day?" he asked. "I had a calm day today." I said. "Me too." replied Adam. I was about to crack another egg and my hand was shaking. "You okay?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said. The egg just missed the bowl.
"Jack, tell me what's wrong." replied Adam worried. "Peter came to my work today." I said and he gasped. "I'm fine, he just wanted to talk." I said. "About what?" asked Adam.
"He asked me if I was happy to see him. I asked him why should I be happy when he cheated on me with my brother." I said. "You don't deserve him." replied Adam.
"We've been together since high school. I got pregnant at our honeymoon, but I had to give up my daughter for adoption. I didn't want her to grow up in an abusive household." I said and Adam hugged me. "You're so strong." he replied. "You saved my life." I said and he smiled.
