So, I'm back at it, my lovelies. Yay! But this time with some oneshots. I'm still looking for prompts or titles, so feel free to offer some. Thank you to everyone who has already given me pure gold. Love y'all, mean it! Okay, lovelies, let the good times roll. Happy reading! 😘

The unexpected had happened, and Fantasia was terrified. She didn't know what to do, but she did know that she couldn't keep it to herself any longer. The more time passed, the more real it became. So it was now or never. She sat her mother down, her hands shaking. This wasn't about to go well. Fantasia could feel it in the pit of her stomach. She wanted to throw up.

“Mama, I’m pregnant,” Fantasia said in her soft, raspy voice. She didn't want to beat around the bush. She had been holding this in for a week. The five at-home pregnancy tests that she had taken already told her what she needed to know, but her doctor's appointment this morning confirmed the news. Fuck my life! One time is all it took. Fantasia had caved, and now she was suffering the consequences of her actions.

The silence was deafening. Fantasia didn’t have a clue what her mother was thinking. Diane sat there, frozen in time. She couldn't have heard what she thought she did. There was no way her seventeen-year-old daughter was pregnant. Fantasia wouldn't humiliate their family like that. “Say something, Mama. Please.” The teenager's voice trembled.

“Get out!” Diane screamed. Another unexpected blow that Fantasia did not foresee. She knew her mom would be disappointed and upset, but to tell her to get out was disheartening. She was still just a child herself; she needed her mama. “Where am I supposed to go? I need you.” Tears began to roll down Fantasia's face. This couldn't be real. Just a week ago, she had life all figured out. Now everything was a mess.

“Go to whoever knocked you up.” Diane got up and walked away. Fantasia sat there, crying her eyes out and holding her stomach. She didn’t know what to do. She had already told Brandel about the baby, and he said that it wasn’t his because they had used protection. Then he broke up with her. But he was the only guy she had ever slept with. She walked around school like she was some fast-tail girl with her short skirts, but Brandel had been her first and her only.

Diane came back downstairs with a suitcase and rolled it to the door. She had packed Fantasia’s belongings, and she wanted her out of her house. How could she be so stupid? What are the ladies at church going to think? That was all Diane cared about, not her daughter’s well-being. “Fantasia, I said get out. And don’t come back.” She was being so cold, and that cut Fantasia deep. They never had the best relationship, but she never would have thought that her mother would turn her back on her. Fantasia left without putting up a fight.

Fantasia and Taraji had been friends since they were in diapers. Their mothers were the best of friends as well until Diane got caught up in the church. The sudden change up was very unexpected because Diane had been the wild one—always in the streets looking for a good time. But she found her church family and ended her friendship with Bernice abruptly. It hurt, but Bernice made sure her situation with Diane didn't affect Taraji and Fantasia's friendship.
