I was getting ready for dinner, putting on my perfume and making sure my dress wasn't creased, I seen Dexter come into the bathroom and wrap his arms around me softly. "You look beautiful." He told me, I couldn't help but blush. 5 years and 1 baby together and he still makes me smile the same. "Well
Thank you baby, you look good yourself." I told him he turned around letting me check him out, he stepped back and did a little twirl in his suit. "You know I had to get dressed up for my baby." He responded, I chuckled. "You going to tell me where we going to eat?" I asked him going to get my bag. "Don't worry about that, just be ready in a few minutes and we'll make our way out." He said to me rushing to his phone. I didn't want to question anything so I just did as he said, either way as long as I eat I'm fine. Once I was ready we left the hotel arm and arm.

We made it to the entrance of the beach, im confused because it's dark unless he has a picnic set up, I doubt there food on the beach. "Babe what this? I don't want to go swimming." I told me, he chuckled, "we not going swimming, just come on." He responded as he took out his hand for me to grab. I was reluctant but at this point what do I have to lose. I grabbed his hands and watched my step as we walks on to the beach. "Close your eyes." He told me, I closed them as he blind folded me. He guided me the rest of the way and made me stop and stand still. "Okay you ready?" He asked me. "Duh boy! Come on." I responded. He laughed. "Ight take the blindfold off. I was hesitant but eventually it came off and I opened my eyes.

I seen a huge red heart, made of individual red roses. Leading with an aisle of rose petals, with a candle dinner for two and a single violinist playing Alicia Keys~unthinkable, he know that's my favorite song, but the big red neon lights that say Marry Me?; that is what started my tears, I couldn't believe he was doing this right now. He was on one knee, I could see his nerves through his face. Then he spoke. Xena I would be lying if I said I never thought we'd get here, because every moment with you had felt like it's led to being here. Being loved by you is something I never want to lose, I promise to forever love you, listen to you, cherish you, and support ever decision you make. You're my Bestfriend, the mother to our beautiful daughter, and baby I can't imagine my life without you. He then opened the box and the ring was gorgeous, clear as day a Diamond ring. I couldn't fight the tears I swear I tried y'all. Baby, will you Marry Me? I couldn't event get the words of fast enough, the amount of tears on my face. "Yes Dexter, Yes I'll marry you!" I responded to him, he put the ring on my finger but I just wanted to kiss him. I can't believe he did all this, I can't believe I get to marry him, this is all like a literal fairytale.

I was in my office waiting to hear from my boss, I was pacing back and forth with my nerves leaving me jittery. I've worked with this music company for a long time, I've showcased more than six new artist this year and the company has loved them all. I haven't been promoted to A&R rep yet, but I'm hoping
After that meeting I secured my spot.

Mr.Barns came into my office and I stood infront of him, still ready for any response he would give. "Mr.King do you have a moment?" He asked me, his stern tone and serious demeanor suggested a not good conversation. "Yes sir, of course." I responded. We sat on the couch in my office as he opened his suit for more comfort. "So, after reviewing all the information you've laid out for us today with your presentation; as well as your track record here at the company, I can say honestly..." he was saying, I felt myself start to actually get scared, I haven't felt this scared since... "You've done extraordinary work, you've brought in new clients. You've guided multiple up and coming artist into the best deals for their careers as well as our company." He began raving. The relief took over, I could finally breathe. "Thank you sir, I really love my job and I just want to show you I'm serious about the A&R Position. I want it." I responded confidently, he looked at me with reassurance and got up from his seat.

"Well in that case, Lucky the position is now filled...by you." He said giving me his hand to shake, I got up from my seat trying to be modest and not show to much joy, I shook his hand, and thanked him. "Thank you sir, I promise this is something you won't regret." I told him, he began walking towards the door. "I believe so. Just keep doing good work young man." He told me, he than opened the door and walked out, moments after Angie walked in. "Well.. I just seen Barns leave, what did he say?" She asked putting her bag on the couch. "He gave me the position!" I told her; she hugged me so tight in joy and excitement, I was so into it I lifted her off the ground. "See I told you! Who's going to say No to Jayson King?!" She responded, it took us a second before we realized our bodies were still stuck together like glue. We being so wrapped up in the hype didn't realize the hug was still intimate, there goes that beautiful perfume again, we finally broke up the hug but I felt my opportunity to shoot my shot, and I'm damn sure going to take it. "Does that mean you'll go out with me? For drinks of course, to celebrate." I asked her, waiting for her response cautiously. "Welll if it's just to celebrate." She answered sarcastically grabbing her bag. "Yeah just one drink." I responded mocking her nonchalant tone, lifting one finger, as I opened the door for her life a gentleman. "Just one." She said to me, as well left out for One Drink.
