It was the next day and I was getting ready to meet Phadra , I was in my office just scrolling through all the text messages I sent Kalii. She hasn't responded back to any. I want her to at least talk to me, she always runs away. We have to be adult enough to talk through our issues. I heard a knock on the door to look up and see Angie walking through the doorway. "Wassup Ang?" I told her, sitting up right in my chair. "Hey, So I just wanted to make sure you had everything for your meeting, Mr. Barns also wanted me to make sure that you get Phadra onboard for the 5 year contract first before her showcase." She told me, "No problem." I told her, picking back up my phone. "You okay?" She asked me, I didn't really want to talk about Kalii to her. "Yeah, I'm fine." I told her hoping this conversation would move along. "I know you're lying?" She told me, "you can't take this energy into the meeting, so speak." She said sitting on the couch waiting for me to talk. I got out my chair and leaned against my desk. I gave her a whole run down of my relationship with Kalii from start to finish. You could tell her mind was still trying to process everything.

"So where is she now?" She asked me, "I don't know man. I tried texting her; but no response." I told her, going to check my phone but again nothing. "Well it sounds like you just have to give her time. You broke her trust; then you start demanding things from her that are supposed to come with time and patience, shit that could be very overwhelming and scary." She explain; when she put it like that, now I definitely see where I went wrong. "I just want her to see me, for me; not who I was in college." I told her, "well she has to learn that for herself; this is something she has to figure out herself. Whether she wants to un-guard her heart and give it to you again." She explained to me, We heard a knock at the door and knew it was Phadra. "I'm going to let her in." Angie was walking towards the door. "You got this; just focus on one thing at a time right now." She told me in reassurance, "Thanks Ang." I told her, she gave her reassuring nod and opened the door to let Phadra in. I'm happy we had that talk, I needed to understand where I went wrong so I can fix it and hopefully gain back Kalii trust.

Xena

I was speed walking into the hospital and found the front desk nurse. "Hi, I'm here for Eddie Jefferson?" I asked the woman, before she could help me I heard Dexter call my name, and Yasmine was running in my arms scared. I thought something had happened to her, I lifted her off the ground and hugged her so tight! "What happened?" I asked Dexter. "He fell and hit his head really bad. The doctors are going to let us know what's happening." Dexter told me, I could see the concern and fear on his face. I just wanted to throw a big love blanket over him but that wouldn't fix this. I tugged him into a tight hug, and kissed him. "It's okay baby, he's going to be okay." I told him trying to calm him but nothing was working, his mom was behind him sitting in a chair, I could tell her mind was else where. I walked over and sat next to her. "Are you okay Evelyn?" I asked her. "I'm fine. I just want to see how Eddie is doing?" She said to me, I remembered my conversation with Dexter about his Dad being weird lately, maybe he did have a reason to be concerned about his health. "Is Eddie okay? With this fall and him confusing Yasmine name... I just know he's getting older and it can be difficult to keep track of your health." I told her, she looked at me with a confused look. "Everything is fine. It's not your job to comfort me, I'm not your fiancé, My husband and I age and health is not any of your business. Stay in your lane Xena." She told me, then she angrily got up and sat on the other side with Yasmine. This woman is difficult. The doctor finally came out and talked to us. "Eddie is okay." The doctor says, We all took a few moments to calm our nerves in relief. "He had a big gash so we gave him stitches and some morphine to help with the pain; but we want to keep him overnight, just so rule out a minor concussion or fractures." The doctor told us. "Yes, of course. Can we see him now?" His mom asked me, with no utter patience. "He is sleep right now, but I'm sure he'd love to wake up to some visitors." The doctor told us, we thanked him and began walking to the room. My phone started to ring, so I told Dexter to go without me. "Hello?" I said on the phone. "Hello This is Yvonne Wilkes the wedding planner." She answered, I'm happy she spoke but now definitely wasn't a good time. "Yes, Hi; I'm Xena. Daisy said you could help me plan my wedding." I told her, "Yes, well unfortunately I won't be in Atlanta until October, I have weddings already booked back to back between now and September." She told me, I was instantly upset. My wedding is in August,  Daisy said her boss could help but this isn't helping at all! "Well is there anyway you can squeeze me in? Please; My wedding isn't big at all but it is in Hawaii." I told her, she was quiet for a second thinking. "I'll tell you what, I can't help, but Daisy spoke highly of you; She can be eyes and ears there to help plan your wedding and from here I'll make sure to get her whatever tools you need to make your day special." She told me, I didn't really want Daisy to plan my wedding but between Dexter Dad and this wedding, I need all the help I can get. "Okay sure. Deal I'll take it." I told her thankfully,  "Awesome, I'm going to send you my cost and retainer fees and you can just hit me up when you're ready." She told me, "thank you so much, Yvonne." I said gratefully. "Your welcome love, talk to you later." She said to me, we hung up the phone. I'm instantly reminded of Kalii,  she's going to take my head off when she hears this.
