Kali

It's the next day and I was putting my shoes on to go the hiking with everyone. After I tied them I heard a knock at the door, I don't really feel like talking unless it's Xena. I went to go open it and seen Dexter standing there. "Got a minute?" He asked me. "Yeah of course." I told him, opening the door for him. I went to go put on my chains and watch as he closed the door behind himself. "I just want to see if you good from yesterday?" He asked me. "Not you checking up on me? If anything I should be apologizing to you." I said trying not to be too mortified. "Don't apologize K, not gonna lie when I first seen Daisy I was shocked too." He told me, my face couldn't help but give him that look-like-Exactly! "Why didn't she tell me?" I asked him, I knew Dexter could always keep it real with me, "She's been going through a lot Kali. The wedding planning alone was killing her, my mom constantly down her throat, and taking of care Yasmine and I.
Honestly I think she forgot but was also scared to tell you." He said to me, I could definitely understand why now; with everything I had going on it's not like I was quick to check on her too. "You and Jayson were both MIA." He mentioned trying to play coy, his eyes letting me know he knew something. "Why are you asking me about him?" I asked him curiously, "I'm not asking anything I was just making a true statement." He said so vaguely. He was playing with me. "Dexter, what do you know?" I asked him hoping I could press him for answers. Before he could saying anything his phone chimed. "That's Xena, they getting together to start the hike. We better go catch up to them." He said so happily, like he knew his phone saved him from me KILLING him. He opened the door holding it for me. "You know NOTHING." I told him putting my finger in his face. He put up his hand in Mercy. "ABSOLUTELY nothing." He said, but his eyes. Still being sneaky. We left it alone and went to go huddle up with everyone, they were all gathered around listening to Daisy.

It was weird seeing Angie and Jayson after last night, but I think it's even weirder having Daisy be our nature tour guide. I couldn't help but look over to Jayson. I do feel bad about yesterday. She's his company or whatever she is and I can't talk to her like that. Our eyes met each other's, and I could feel his aggravation with me. I gave him a soft wave and a short smile. He gave me nothing looking away. I just continued to look forward hoping this hike would hurry up and end. "Okay, I advise everyone to grab a partner and both of you stick with the group!" Daisy told us. I walked over to Xena. "Let's go partner." I told her giving her my hand to grab. Dexter came out of nowhere and wrapped his arms around her waist and started kissing her cheek. "Sorry, she's taken." He said to me, she couldn't help but giggle at his kisses as where I mimicked throwing up. "You guys are disgustingly cute, heavy on the DISGUSTING." Was my cute to leave. I turned around to see Jayson and Angie grouped up. I just rolled my eyes. I seen Daisy walk over to me, and I instantly wanted to run but for now I'll just slowly die on the inside. "Need a partner?" She asked nicely, I vowed the last time I saw her I would punch her in the face. "Sure, why not?" I told her, trying to hold in my inner scream. We all headed out on our walk, thank god I brought
my weed because I'm gonna need it.

Jayson

We were walking as a group through the woods, I didn't mind the walk; it felt nice, but all I could remember was last night. Kali was way out of line, she can't be with me but can't respect anyone I fuck with. It's insane. "Jayson? You heard me?" Angie said to me taking me away from my train of thought.   "Yeah." I told her, she continued speaking. "I just don't understand, since I been here she's been disrespectful as fuck; and I haven't done shit to her." She told me marching through the twigs and leaves. "She's just mad at me, she doesn't mean to take it out on you. I'm sorry." I told her genuinely. I could tell she felt my compassion when she looked into my eyes. "It's okay. She just needs to reel it in, but lucky for her I love a good healthy competition." She said to me blushing, I couldn't help but smile. "Competition? And I'm the prize? How flattered." I said to her, she playfully shoved me and laughed. "I just thought we had something going on but then Killer Kali happened." She said I let out a Chuckle not being able to hold it in. "I'm sorry about that too.  I definitely could've handled things differently in the hotel room; but I just didn't know what to say." I said to her, she started to let out a soft giggle. "I mean I was bare naked infront of you, in the middle of your hotel room; before your date." She said to me, we both laughed realizing how crazy that was. "But I understand, Most guys would've tried to have two women, but you were respectful and honest; it's something I've always liked about you." She told me, looking into her light brown always made my stomach flutter. It's like her eyes always says it all, and right now it's saying she wants me.

Dexter joined us and wrapped his arm around my neck. "I hope Jayson isn't driving you crazy Angie, he tends to have that affect on people." He said, Angie laughed and I removed his arm. "Ha ha ha, Hopefully when you marry Xena she can help you work on them lame ass jokes." I told him sarcastically. "Please my jokes are solid, right Angie?" He asked her. Her face looked surprised but like she didn't want to say the truth. "There goes your invite to the wedding." Dexter said to her, then he got a laugh out of her, a genuine one too. "I'm going to go get to know your fiancé a little better." Angie said to us, then she left us leave just Dexter and I. "Wassup man." I told him, as we walked together bobbing through leaves and trees, insects and bugs. "So, what's up with you and Angie man?" He asked me, "what are you talking about? She's my assistant." I told him, "Is that why when I say her name you grown the biggest grin on your face." He said to me, I hadn't even noticed I was smiling ear to ear. "You like her man!" He said, I immediately shh him. "Yes, alright I'm feeling her a little." I told him, "While still being in love with Kali?" He asked me, I was speechless, stunned he even said that. "What?" I said to him, "Bro, I've known you since we were 11. You can't lie to me. I already know you love her again but my question is did y'all fuck?" He said to me, he had this stone cold look in his eye, it was like anything I would've say wouldn't matter because he already knows it. "Yeah. We did." I told him, I could see him trying to contain his disbelief and anger. "Seriously bro? Alright What happened was it on some on time only let's fuck or on some let's pick up where we left off, fuck." He asked me. I didn't even want to answer his question because it wasn't easy to answer. "Nigga it don't matter! Okay? She don't want to be with me anyways so.." I said to him he could see the stress and disappointment on my face. "Well I don't know if that's true." he said to me, I want to ask more questions but It would hurt too much to know. "No it's true. We talked and she's done, and so am I chasing her." I said to him, I don't know if I mean what I'm saying but it sure did sound nice. He rested his hand on my shoulder, "Well I'm proud of you; Really not the same Jayson from college huh?" He said to me proudly. "Yeah, I guess not." I said to him. All of it is still weighing heavily on me giving up the first girl I ever really loved, the woman I was going to marry, the friend that was going to be my forever.
