I was with my mom, Dad and Yasmine at my parents house. My mom was helping me find a wedding ring for Xena online for the ceremony, while my dad and Yasmine were playing with number blocks at the dinner table. "I like that one right there." My mom pointed to on the computer. "It's nice Ma; but I don't want it to just look nice, I want Xena to see it and know every carat ever engraved word is all my love for her." I told her, "trust me that girl comes from nothing. She'll be amazed with whatever ring you buy her either way." My mom said sarcastically. "Ma. Stop. That's my fiancé, and Yasmine's mother." I told her, trying to be serious with her. "What? I'm just saying." She saying, trying to seem modest but failing. "Grandpa can we watch Moana again?" Yasmine asked him. "Again? Jesus. Do these kids not get tired of these fakes shows. Back in my day we used to watch the Jefferson's or Good times. You'd watch whatever was playing, wasn't no rewinding or pausing." My dad began to rant, "Please grandpa." Yasmine begged him. "Alright, Alright come on." He reluctantly caved. I couldn't help but giggle I knew he'd cave, he always does for her.

"Ohh Mom look, what about this one, this is cool right?" I showed her turning the computer, "oh see that is nice, that's really nice." She said, her face even agreed with me. "See I want her face to light up when she see's it." I was saying, "CRASH!" We heard a loud sound coming from the living room. "YASMINE!" I screamed, My mother and I ran into the living room. My father was on the floor getting up, broken glass all around him, Yasmine was cowering into the couch scared. I ran over to help my dad up and my mom went to comfort Yasmine. "Dad are you okay?" I asked him scared as hell, he kept rubbing the back of his head. "I'm fine, I'm fine." He said to me per usual being stubborn. The coffee table was broken, glass shattered allover the floor. "Dad, what happened?" I asked him, when he was done rubbing the back of his head I seen blood on his hands. "Oh my god!" I said, "Eddie. You're bleeding!" My mother said to him. "Is grandpa okay?" Yasmine asked. "Dad, I'm taking you to the hospital let's go." I said to him, I went to go get my coat and his. "Mom, call Xena and Just tell her I'm at the hospital. Stay here with Yasmine." I told her rushing to take him to the hospital. "Dad just sit down let me get my keys." I told him helping him to sit on the couch. Everything is just a lot right now, he's bleeding, I don't know what to do. I'm worried at what's even happening, Yasmine is petrified. I just don't know. I'm scared. I found my keys and started helping him to the car. My mom had on her jacket and Yasmine had on her's. "Mom I told y'all to stay here." I told her. "No, we're going too. He's my husband." She said taking the keys out my hand and opening the front door. "Let's go!" She yelled. I didn't even want to argue with her, I just helped my dad out the door and into the car.

Jayson

I was in the car trying to set it up for her. I wanted to make sure I had the roses, had her seat ready for her so we could enjoy our date. It's her first night out in the town in LA, so I want to make sure she enjoy every second here, and every second with me. I could see her walking out to the car. I made sure I fixed myself up and my breath wasn't hot. She swung open the door and seen the flowers, Instantly having the most gorgeous smile. Her cheeks turned red. "What is this?" She asked me, "You know I just wanted to do something for you. You know, make you feel as special as you are." I said to her, she took the flowers and sat in her seat. I automatically got a kiss. I loved feeling her soft lips against mine. "Thank you, this is gorgeous. You didn't have to." She told me, I loved her modesty. It always so sexy. "But I wanted to." I told her. I could look into her chocolate brown eyes all day. She gave me a kiss but this time with more love, more lust I could feel every once of her appreciation; I didn't want to the kiss to stop but she pulled up. "Shit! I'm gonna have to get you flowers every minute." I told her, she couldn't help but giggle. "A bouquet of roses every minute. Sounds like a deal to me." She told me so confidently. "Good to know." I told her, she knew once I flash this million dollar smile, she couldn't resist to blush. "Okay, it's Saturday in LA. I want to take you to this bar, it's really chill, got good food and good vibes." I told her pushing the button to start the car and putting my seat belt on. "Okay, let's go." She said to me, always ready for whatever we were going to get into. We drove off into the night, ready for whatever , just having her by my side; going through the night sky and beautiful street lights. Seeing her smile,  and laugh. I missed this, it's all I've ever wanted for us but I ruined it the last time. This time I don't want to.

We were at the bar eating enjoying our food and drinks. The night was going good, the food was great the drinks were hitting but the company is my favorite part of this whole night. "I can't believe we've all been friends for this long." She said to me, finishing our funny conversation. "I can't believe they're getting married." I told her taking a sip of my drink. "I don't know. I mean at some point I knew they'd get married, they just mesh well. I don't know it just feel like it was a long time coming." She said to me, biting into her shrimp Alfredo. We haven't really talked much about marriage, since you know. "Did you picture that for us?" I asked her. The conversation got awkwardly quiet, I know this topic is taboo for us but I feel like we need to talk about this. "I mean... I guess, But you know..." She was saying, trying to eat her food to obviously avoid this conversation. I just decided to change to the subject, and continue our dinner in peace. That can be a topic for another time down the line. After a nice dinner we decided to enjoy the walk to the car, it was a bit of a long walk LA streets is always packed on a Saturday night. We were arm and arm strolling. Enjoying each others company talking. "SHIT!" She said, unlinking our arms looking ahead. "What what's wrong?" I asked her confused as always. "I'm sorry in advance for this." She mumbled to me, then we cross paths with a group of people till one of them called her name. "Kalii?" The man said. Once he stuck out the group I could see as clear as day who it was, but I couldn't even believe it right in front of my face. "Hey Evan." She said to him, as he pulled her in for a big hug, forget the fact that I'm here. "What are you doing in LA?" He asked her, till he noticed me next to her I could feel his Skepticism instantly. "I'm just visiting." She told him, trying to keep it casual, but this was too weird to be casual. He kept starring at me, like I'm not supposed to be with her, like nigga; and you think you are? She finally introduced us. "Jayson, this is Evan. Evan, this is Jayson." She said introducing us. "Hey." He said to me, "wassup." I said to him. Obviously we didn't have much to say to each other. "Well why you didn't tell me you were in LA? I would've been your tour guide." He said trying to ignore me, I'm too grown to play kid games. "Luckily enough she had a tour guide that is experienced." I told him putting my arm around her, I could tell he felt that statement, by his facial expression. "Well I better get going; but it was not seeing you Evan." She told him, "You too, Text me; sometime." He said to her, "Okay, I will." She weirdly agreed. She linked arms with me again this time walking way. "Well if that wasn't a chest match." She said chuckling. I unlinked arms with her, and she stopped in her place. "What?" She asked me, "None of that was funny Kali. Why you agreed to that shit?" I asked her. Tryin to keep my cool. "Agree to what? To text him? That's what people say when they're trying to get out of shit." She said to me, "Okay, gotta; talk to you soon, Bye. Knowing they really just want to leave the conversation." She re-enacted. I kept walking leaving her behind. "Man, whatever; And then you didn't even tell him who I was." I said to her, trying to
Hold my frustration. "What are you talking about? I introduced you Jayson." She said to me, walking fast and talking. "Yeah you introduced me as Jayson..." I told her, waiting for her to understand me. "I'm sorry is there something I don't know? Your name is Jayson." She said to me obviously clueless. I stopped walking to turn around and look her in the eyes. "Kalii? We've been fucking. You know I love you, I basically asked about our future back there at the bar. You can't tell me you don't see it." I told her, trying to get her to understand. "See what? Jayson yes we've had sex, and yes I know you love me, and yes I love you too; but that doesn't erase the hurt and pain you put me through; I can't just wipe the slate clean." She told me, "why are you still holding onto that? Let that go, I apologized, we're starting over." I told her basically feeling like I'm begging for her trust at this point. "I cant just let it go Jayson." She told me walking away from the conversation like she always does when things get hard. "Yes you can, why you holding on to that shit. It's over , it's done!" I said getting angry. "YOU CHEATED ON ME!" She said angrily, screaming at me in my face. I could see from her eyes, that pain was still there. "You cheated on me, Lied to me, and then proposed to me. You made me actually think forever could last with you; but then you hurt me and made me doubt myself, broke my trust." She said to me, I could tell she was about to cry again trying to hold back her tears but speak her mind, I tried to walk over to give her a hug but she backed away. "Xena was right.. This, Us; what were we thinking? We are toxic." She said to me, I hated that I let this conversation get here. I hate that I did this again. "Don't say that, no we're not." I wanted to hug her but she wouldn't let me. "Just take me to my things, I think I'll stay in a hotel for tonight." She said to me, I felt horrible; this is exactly what I didn't want. I tried pleading with her, but she wouldn't hear it, she just walked off to the car, I didn't know what to do, I just walked back and forth trying to calm myself from not crying and letting my anger get the best of me. FUCK!
