As I blink open my eyes from a long night of sleep, I feel a heavy weight on my stomach. I glance down in confusion, only to see Eddie's arm draped over me. I smile at the memories of last night and attempt to get up but his arm keeps me tightly pinned down.

"Eddie." I whisper. "Eddieee."

He slowly blinks his eyes open before smiling at me sleepily. I make a move to get up again but he only holds me tighter against himself.

"Don't leave." He mutters.

"I'm not leaving, I just need to go to the bathroom."

"No."

"Eddie!"

"Just give me a few seconds."

We sit in silence before his arm finally loosens and I can get up. "I'll be right back." I say before lightly pecking his lips. I don't know if I'll ever get used to the fact that I can just do that whenever I want.

I quietly exit Eddie's bedroom and make my way to the bathroom when Chris's door opens. Shit.

"Buck? What are you doing here?" Chris asks.

I hurry to think of an excuse. "I just came here this morning to check in on you and your dad!"

"In your pajamas?" He laughs.

"Yup." I laugh with him. "I'm just going to go to the bathroom real quick and then I'll make you some breakfast okay?"

"Thanks, Buck."

--------------------------------------------------------

Eddie sleepily walks into the kitchen as I'm serving Christopher some pancakes for breakfast. He almost reaches out to hug me before he realizes Chris is in the room.

"Chris, you're up!" He says as he ruffles his hair.

"Yeah, Buck came over to check on us."

"I can see that." He turns towards me. "Good morning, Buck."

Blush rises to my cheeks. "Morning." I mutter as I start making more pancakes for me and Eddie.

"Need any help?" He lightly grazes my arm.

I go still before replying. "Nope. You can just relax."

I hear him sit down besides Christopher and they talk about Eddie's work schedule this week. I tune out their conversation as I think about how much my life has changed over the past few days. Never once did I think we would be here, yet here we are. We have yet to talk about if we're telling anyone yet and it has me anxious just thinking about it. What if Eddie wants to keep us a secret? And what if I'm not able to?

Once the rest of the pancakes are done, I plate them before sitting down besides Christopher and Eddie.

"Do you have to go to work today, Buck?" Chris asks.

"Yeah, but your dad will be home with you for the next couple of days."

"I know... will you come here at night at least?"

I glance over at Eddie and smile. "Of course I will. I can even come back tonight if you want."

"Okay!" Christopher smiles brightly before he goes back to eating his cereal.

Eddie and I share a heated look as he leans down to take his first bite. I am mesmerized as his mouth covers his fork and pulls the pancake into his mouth. I feel the blood rise to my face as I look down and attempt to distract myself with other thoughts.

"You okay, Buck?" Christopher asks.

Eddie muffles his laugh.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry." I choke out.

Christopher shrugs before going back to eating and Eddie smirks at me knowingly.

I do nothing but shake my head and lightly laugh as I go back to eating.
