"Ina, sweetheart you need to rest. I promise I'll be back with my stuff in just ten minutes." He said, when I told him I wanted to come along.
"But Kakashi, what if I need you in those ten minutes?" I said, slurping the last portion of my vegetable soup.
He laughed a little and patted on my head.
"What do you want me to do then, Ina?"
"Use your kamui or something!" I was being very clingy ever since we got home two days back.
Kakashi had been staying with me, occasionally going back home to get his fresh clothes.
Today was 28th of December. We are just three and a half days away from starting a New Year, considering it was already noon.
It felt like just a week ago Kakashi and I were fighting side by side in the war.. and look at us now.. everybody was home with people they love, and the village was bustling with life.
I still had five days more until my final check-up with Lady Tsunade, but I was secretly hoping it would be longer than that.
Kakashi was being more lovey dovey than ever and I was all in for it. He cooked for me, spent hours watching my favorite movies with me and cuddling me to sleep every night.
Oh and did I mention the daily bouquet of tulips? They're my favorite flowers and he remembered them.
"Sweetheart just give me five minutes okay? I'll be right back!" He smiled and squeezed my cheeks together with his gloved hand.
"Five longgg minutes!"
"No need guys! Iruka is at your service!"
Iruka walked in with Kakashi's duffel bag in one hand, and a gift bag in the other.
He walked over to me and placed a kiss on the top of my head, earning a scoff from Kakashi.
"Okay, jelly boy. She's my baby sister so chill. I'm allowed to do this." Iruka teased him and he frowned.
I shifted to hug Iruka and I stuck my tongue out, teasing him as Iruka huddled closer, mocking him.
Kakashi rolled his eyes and went into the shower, faking hurt and putting his hand over his chest.
Iruka and I laughed in unison and he let go of me, handing me the lilac gift bag.
I took it, thanking him and opened it to find four dvds of my favorite animated movies.
"Aw thank you Iru you're the sweetest!" I gave him a small hug again, which he returned.
"Best for the best, and I know you're dying of boredom without the training and missions."
"Well yeah, so far these two days have been pretty unproductive but who's complaining? I have a handsome man, taking care of me, loving me, 24/7. What more could I want?" I proudly said and he ruffled my hair.
Am I a dog?
"So.. Yuki, did he tell you?" Iruka asked, and I instantly understood what he meant.
Kakashi told me everything; everything that happened when we weren't together for the two weeks. He told me about some girl named Tokyo, the same one who drugged him.
It turns out that Genma was the one who hired her to drug Kakashi and tried to get him in trouble. Genma was thinking this was a sick joke, but turns out that the girl was in the bingo book. She had 35 million ryo bounty on her head.
I'm just glad I know most of the things that happened, but I was curious about one more thing.
"Yeah, he did, but.."
