Chapter 11: It Has To Be Now

I wish I could undo the sight in front of me.

There she was, laying unconscious on the ground, with her left arm bleeding.

When I looked forward at the direction of her arm, I saw the cut head of a huge white snake with Yuki's katana pinning it down.

Sakura was trying to heal her, trying to wake her up with her medical Chakra but Ina's arm was turning bluer by each passing second...

I felt my knees go weak, but I managed to run to her and pulled her on my lap.

"Sakura... how did this-"

"This s- snake emerged from underground in my tent. I tried to make a run for it but it leapt in my direction and swept its tail under my feet. It lunged forward to bite me when Y- Yukina sensei jumped in front of m- me and-"

"Enough. I can see the rest in front of my eyes." I said, my voice coming out in a defeated whisper.

"This is Sasori's venom, sensei. I don't have either the antidote or  the ingredients to prepare it"

My mind was blank, I couldn't bring myself to think about anything except her state.

I had to do something immediately, I couldn't let my sweetheart suffer. There has to be an immediate solution!

"Tomoshiri grass should be present near the mountainside of hidden cloud. But... if we don't extract the poison and treat her within one day.."

"We have to make a run for it soon then. Gather everything Sakura. Sai, send the head of that snake to the leaf for inspection. We're leaving in five minutes."

If we were going to do something, it has to be now.

"WHO DID THIS TO BIG SIS YUKINA?" I heard Naruto, landing on the ground with Sasuke.

"No time to explain right now, gather your things, we have to get to the hidden cloud immediately." Frustration and worry was evident in my voice.

As I held her closer, I got an idea. It was risky and could take a toll on me but I had to get her to heal as soon as I could. I will absolutely NOT let her life slip away..

"Everybody, place your hands on my back, now."

They immediately did as I said and I lifted up my headband to reveal my sharingan..

"KAMUI"

We were all swept into another dimension within 3 seconds. I felt my eye starting to throb with pain but this was no time to complain.

Damn that rhymes- damn it, focus Kakashi!

I visually traced the path of hidden cloud and prepared myself again.

"KAMUI!"

We were spun and we landed right in front of the entrance of Hidden cloud.

Sakura gasped, hokding my shoulder. "We made it sensei! You're a genius-"

I fell down, feeling my body weaken, but I still held her tight against me as if my life depended on her.

A few guards came running to us and immediately recognized us. I felt them trying to take her away from my arms but I didn't let them.

"Sensei, are you okay? Please get up!" Sakura and Sasuke helped me get up while Naruto carried her on her back, Sai supporting him.

I felt my eyes starting to close and everything went dark.

"We will begin the extraction now, please told her arms tight. I'm sorry Sensei, it will be painful" I could faintly hear Sakura's voice as I opened my eyes.
