Chapter 12: No ice cream!?

I didn't want to leave her.. but thankfully there were some dine-in restaurants in the building itself.

Hidden cloud is more modernized than the other villages, so the interiors of the buildings looked more modern than the traditional inns we came across in other villages.

After a while, I got changed and we headed out to a ramen place. Naruto was practically inhaling his ramen.

This reminded me of my little tsunami... she gobbles up her favorite ice cream in the same way.

While they were busy talking and nobody was paying attention, I quickly finished mine and paid the bill for all of us.

I impatiently rushed back to Ina because she was alone. What if she wakes up and thinks she's in a stranger's room?

As I reached our room, I saw that the door was already unlocked. Panic struck me and I burst into the room, my eyes searching for her.

A medic was standing by the bed, holding a syringe with a dark purple liquid filled inside. Poison.

Before he could make any move, I gathered lightning in the palm of my hand and pierced through his arm, missing a vital spot on purpose.

"What the FUCK were you about to-"

The medic turned into a white clay- like being..

White zetsu. I thought Naruto and the others had wiped them all out?

Everybody quickly rushed inside the room, glancing at the being sprawled on the floor.

"Naruto-"

"I'm on it!"

I asked Sakura to check up on Ina to make sure she wasn't harmed.

I immediately headed to the Raikage's office to report this incident while the others inspected the building.

I dragged the zetsu from earlier along with me for interrogation. I entered the office without knocking and the investigation began immediately.

Turns out, he was disguised as the medic right from the start, but was laying low outside the other border of Hidden cloud.

As soon as he saw Naruto leave, he snuck in past the guards.

"We searched every nook and cranny. He seems to be the last one. But just to be safe I have sent out my clones in eight directions outside and around the hidden cloud." Naruto says

"They will deal with the zetsu if they are to approach now. The enemy seems to have withdrawn." Sai adds.

"Thank you shinobi of the leaf, you may go rest now." The Raikage spoke, thanking us.

When I entered the room, Sakura got up from the bed, handing me the wet cloth that was on Ina's head.

"Although she's getting better, her temperature is rising and falling a little sensei. There's nothing to worry about. But yes, if you feel like her temperature is rising again, just apply these salt-water cloth patches on her forehead."

I thanked Sakura and she gave me a reassuring smile before leaving the room.

I laid down on Ina's right, removing the pillow border I made for her. As I was about to get inside the blanket, her phone rang.

I picked it up and saw Asuma's face on the screen.

"YUKI GUESS WHAT I DID- Kakashi?"

His face went from happy to confused;

"Where's Yuki?" He asked, with furrowed eyebrows.

When I didn't say anything, his anxiety grew.

"What happened to her Kakashi?"
