Once inside, Sodi respectfully turns away to prepare ver tools and to give me a chance to undress with some degree of privacy. I remove my articles of clothing and am filled with delight and arousal to see parts of Sodi's body intermixed with my own. What a bizarre and unique experience to have Sodi as a literal part of me. Gathering my senses, I attempt to climb up atop the bed from my chair. Clawing at the beds cushion in a desperate effort to scale the bed, I find that my upper body strength left me with Viadu's body.
Oh Ritu, please no.
My naked body fully exposed, I grunt and struggle to pull myself up.
"Are you okay?" Sodi asks, still politely turned away.
"Yeah," I grunt, "Just need to get-" Suddenly I lose my grip, slip from the bedside, and fall a short distance before my naked body flops to the floor. Fortunately, I managed to protect my head and only my ego was injured.
After the smack of my body hitting the floor, Sodi spins around and moves to make sure I am alright.
"I'm okay," I grunt just as Sodi rounds the bed to see me naked and sprawled out on the floor.
Sodi's face turns red, and ve turns ver gaze away again, "Are you sure?" Ve asks.
"Yeah... but- um- I could use some help getting onto the bed." I admit.
"Oh, okay. I can do that." Sodi says as ve respectfully grabs a towel to cover me with. Once again effortlessly, ve lifts me up, and then gently sets me onto the massage bed, placing me down such that I am lying on my belly. Then Sodi carefully adjusts my towel so that it is draped reaching from my mid back down to the back of my knees.
Shortly thereafter, Sodi begins to work ver magic on my shoulders.
"I'm not going to be sapping your anxieties away from you as I go this time, so I hope that doesn't worsen your experience." Sodi says.
"Oh, no you're fine. This feels sooo good."
"So tell me what happened to you." Sodi says, and then almost immediately afterwards, "Sorry, I mean in general, not how you got... You know. But, I mean I would like to know that too. If you are comfortable."
"No need to apologize, you're fine," I say, "There is almost too much to recount. One thing is for sure... I am not the same Dima I was when we last met."
"Well as someone who used to know more about you than I had any right to know, I am grateful for this opportunity to get to know you in a more... traditional way."
"Sure. Uh, what do you want to know?"
"Um, what are some of the biggest ways you feel you have changed?"
"Oh vetu, I feel like a completely different person. For one thing, my perspective on the concept of exaltation has been completely devastated. I used to think that a vetu's place in society correlated with the strength of their relationship with Ritu. I thought that people suffered because they deserved it. Then I discovered all manner of exceptions to what I thought was a hard rule."
Sodi begins to work at my neck and the base of my skull, "What sort of exceptions?"
"Well, there are vetu who won't receive help from anyone who hasn't suffered in the same ways they have. Sometimes people need to know they are understood before they can open up. So, it might be that some people need to suffer, not because they deserve it, but because it equips them to reach others who have suffered in similar ways."
Sodi pauses ver work momentarily, "That- that is a really beautiful observation. Sorry," Sodi starts to rub my scalp again, "I just really needed to hear that."
