Everyone walked around the restaurant, Jordan holding my hand. Tom stayed back, making sure Sonja was alright when she woke up. Suzy and Matt were there, too. Jirard was already into the main room, staring at Austin and Ian who were on either side of Jake. Jon was standing there as well, hanging out in the shadows in the upper left of the stage.
"Now that you're all here, I can talk to you about how PISSED I am," Austin screamed at us. I jumped back, tripping over Jordan's shoes and falling into the table. Austin started to laugh like The Joker, pointing at me and cackling. I stood myself back up, looking back to see Jon staring at me with bright yellow eyes.
"You're time had been cut because of your cheating," Ian said, looking to Jordan and Jirard. "And the consequence is... well..."
Jirard turned away from the stage, following Ian's gaze to the back room. Mark and Tony were suddenly jumping the gun, pulling him back.
"Ian, Austin," I said, standing up and facing the two. "Let him go. We made a deal last time and you're breaking it. I don't touch you and you don't kill our friends."
"There was no deal, honey-buns," Austin hissed, laughing soon after. I fumed. "Just me and Suzy."
"And you let Suzy go after we made a deal that I wouldn't touch you. And I haven't."
"No, but you did break the rules. Remember? Keep away?"
"That's unfair," Jordan shouted. "He's not something you can control like that! Or me, or Jirard, or anyone else!"
"Then explain why Jirard is called into the darkness all the sudden," Mark struggled to say, busy pulling on Jirard's arm.
"Fine! Stop!" Austin yelled. Jirard fell back into Mark and Tony, the both of them struggling to catch him.
Jon, still staring at me, smirked. Ian and Austin got down from the stage, not even caring about Jirard. They were headed towards the office. I looked to Jirard, Mark, and Tony, then to Jon.
"You're watching us," I said to Jon. "Making sure we stay in line. But, you can't do anything. You're mute. You're a zombie on a planned timer."
"Decker?" Mark asked me. I ignored him and the GameGrumps name he called me by. It was to tell the two Danny's apart.
"If I did something around you, you wouldn't be able to do anything," I smiled. I climbed onto the stage and stood next to Jake. "So if I took Jake to a safe-spot, you wouldn't do anything about it."
"Daniel," Jordan said to me with a stern tone in his voice, "whatever you're planning on doing, don't do it."
Jake looked at Jon, then to me, nodding his head. I walked behind him and he nodded again. Jon scowled. I untied him and he stood slowly, grabbing onto the chair for balance.
"Help me out, darling," I said to Jordan. He huffed, then climbed onto the stage, becoming a crutch for Jake. I looked to Jake. "Where's somewhere we can hide you without Austin and Ian finding you?"
He thought for a second, then pointed to the girl's bathroom. Jordan and I looked to each other, then helped Jake climb offstage and walk towards the bathrooms. I opened the door and we led Jake into the back stall, watching him take a seat on a toilet lid and pull out his phone. Why Austin didn't take that when he took ours stunned me.
Jake typed in the notes section for a second, then showed us a small note: "There is no end unless you kill them. The darkness won't hurt you. I'm sorry for everything."
He tucked his phone back into his pocket, feeling around on his face and peeling at the corners of the packing tape. I clutched my stomach and walked out, Jordan in follow. As soon as we got back to the main restaurant, we heard Jake scream and cry out in pain. I shut my eyes and grabbed onto Jordan's hand.
I couldn't fight back much of any screaming for long, for I could hear Austin. He wasn't happy.
"Where is he?!" Austin screamed at the top of his lungs. Ian suddenly was pushing me and poking me, all up in my face. And to think he was my friend.
"Jeremy, search every last inch of this place," Austin demanded of Ian. Jeremy? Fitzgerald? That didn't make sense.
Ian was gone, Austin pushing Tony and Mark at us, Jirard falling to his knees. Mark and I helped him up, the five of us running to the office. We found Suzy, Matt, Tom, and Sonja all sitting behind the desk, Sonja still asleep, leaning against Matt. At least I wasn't the only one who thought he was comfortable.
"Get them!" Austin shouted. Ian slid into the office, Jordan grabbing my hand. The Suzy and Tom looked from behind the desk just as Ian threw his hands out at us. I flinched, thinking he was throwing something at us. And then I felt Jordan's hand go limp in mine. I opened my eyes to see his tolling back into his head.
"Jordan?" I whispered. His knees went out from under him and he collapsed onto the floor, making me scream. I knelt down beside him, shaking him and pulling at his arms to wake him.
"Suzy!" Mark shouted. I looked over to see him trying to wake Suzy, and Tom was passed out on the other side of the desk. I looked at Ian, but he was gone. "Matt, wake up!"
Matt jolted awake as Tony and Jirard busied themselves with gathering water guns. Matt caught Sonja before she could fall over and looked to Mark and Suzy, then to Jordan and I. I looked down to my boyfriend, shaking his shoulders and scooting him towards the desk. I grabbed onto his shoulders and propped him up. Before things could get worse, the lights went out.
I looked to the door, grabbing a water gun Tony was holding. The lights went on, the music box ticked, and Joey started to laugh. At least I knew Jake was sorry.
