Palki wanted to join the rest of the family downstairs, but Shaurya was adamant that she stay in bed and rest. However, knowing how stubborn she could be, he finally gave in a little and asked her to try walking. Shaurya watched her intently as she took a few steps, concerned that her foot might still be in pain.

"Does it hurt?" he asked gently, his eyes full of worry.

Palki shook her head, "No, it's fine," she assured him with a small smile.

But Shaurya wasn't convinced. He quickly made her sit back on the bed, fussing over her like she was a fragile doll. "Good girl," he said, brushing a kiss on her forehead as he tucked her in.

Night fell, and despite Shaurya's earlier insistence on staying in bed, Palki found herself tiptoeing down to the kitchen. She was thirsty and didn't want to disturb Shaurya, who was busy working on his laptop.

But Shaurya had sharp eyes, and the moment he saw her, he rushed to her side. "Palki, what are you doing here?" he asked, his tone a mixture of concern and annoyance.

"I was thirsty," she mumbled, holding the glass in her hand.

Shaurya sighed, taking the glass from her. "Am I invisible to you? You could have told me. Why did you come down?" he scolded lightly, though his voice was filled with tenderness. He poured water into the glass and gently lifted it to her lips, making sure she drank every drop.

Once she was done, he supported her by holding her hands and shoulders, guiding her back to their room. "Come on, back to bed with you," he murmured softly, as if talking to a child. When they reached the bed, he made her lie down, covering her with the blanket. "You're like a naughty little baby," he teased, his voice playful as he tucked her in.

Shaurya's tone changed to a softer one as he continued, "Now close your eyes and sleep. I want my good girl well-rested by morning." He leaned in closer, kissing her forehead. Palki smiled at him, feeling a warmth spread through her heart as Shaurya's gentle words lulled her into sleep.

The next morning, Shaurya woke up early to finish some office work. He stepped into the room to check on Palki, who was still asleep, curled up like a small child. Her blanket had slipped off, and she was shivering slightly. Shaurya frowned, rushing to cover her properly. As he did, he noticed a stray strand of hair brushing against her face. With the utmost care, he tucked it behind her ear.

For a moment, he stood there, lost in the sight of her peaceful face. Palki looked so serene, so angelic in her sleep. Without thinking, Shaurya cupped her face gently and pressed his lips against hers in a soft kiss, careful not to wake her. The sweetness of the moment overwhelmed him, and as he pulled back, he found himself apologizing to the sleeping Palki, feeling a mix of guilt and confusion over his actions.

In the afternoon, Palki's mischievous side came out again. Despite Shaurya's warnings, she sneaked into the kitchen and indulged in ice cream and chocolates. When Shaurya entered the room and caught her in the act, his eyes widened in shock and anger.

"Palki!" he exclaimed, his voice sharp. "What do you think you're doing?"

Palki looked up at him, startled, as she tried to hide the evidence. But it was too late. Shaurya's scolding made her eyes well up with tears, and she began crying like a little child.

Seeing her tears, Shaurya's anger melted away instantly. "Oh no, no, don't cry, my sweetheart," he cooed, rushing to her side. He knelt down beside her, wiping her tears away with his thumbs. "I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to make you cry."

Palki sniffled, her tears still flowing as she looked at him. Shaurya tried to cheer her up by making funny faces and doing a few sit-ups in front of her, which finally made her giggle. Her laughter was like music to his ears, and he couldn't resist kissing her cheek and forehead.

"That's better," Shaurya said, his voice full of relief. "There's my happy girl." He held her close, his arms wrapped around her protectively, making her feel safe and loved.

Just then, Shaurya received a call from his office. He was about to leave when Rajveer and Karan appeared, exchanging knowing glances as they blocked his way.

"Bhai, you can't go to the office today," Rajveer said, his tone firm.

Shaurya raised an eyebrow, "And why not?"

Rajveer quickly came up with an excuse, "Palki bhabhi isn't feeling well. She has a fever and a headache. She needs rest, but she's being stubborn and dramatic."

Karan immediately added, "Yes, Shaurya. She needs you here. You should stay back and take care of her."

Shaurya's face fell into worry at once. "Why didn't she tell me she was feeling sick?" he muttered, more to himself than to anyone else. "She's so stubborn and careless."

Karan nodded, "Exactly. Rajveer will handle the office. You stay with Palki."

Shaurya agreed, nodding as he turned to head back to the room. Rajveer and Karan shared a triumphant thumbs-up, pleased that their plan was working perfectly.

When Shaurya entered the room, he saw Palki lying on the bed, looking a bit confused by all the attention she was getting. Karan pointed out, "Look at her face, Shaurya. She looks so pale and tired. You should give her a hair oil massage to help her relax."

Palki blinked up at Karan, "Dad, I'm fine. Please don't worry about me."

But Shaurya wasn't having any of it. "You didn't tell me you were feeling sick," he scolded gently, sitting beside her on the bed. "You're so stubborn, Palki."

Karan smiled softly and left the room, leaving the two of them alone. Shaurya grabbed the bottle of oil and began massaging Palki's scalp, his fingers working gently through her hair. As he did so, he leaned down and whispered, "You have to take better care of yourself, okay? You can't scare me like this."

Palki closed her eyes, feeling the tension melt away under Shaurya's tender touch. The soothing sensation, combined with Shaurya's sweet words, made her heart flutter. The romantic atmosphere was heightened as the song "pal "began playing softly in the background, making the moment even more intimate.

Shaurya continued the massage, occasionally placing soft kisses on her forehead. "You're my responsibility now, Palki. And I'm not letting you go," he murmured.

Palki smiled, feeling overwhelmed by the love and care Shaurya was showing her. "I'm not going anywhere," she replied softly.

After a while, Shaurya finished the massage and lay down beside her, pulling her into his arms. He began talking to her in a soft, playful voice, like one would with a baby, "My little stubborn girl. What will I do with you? Hmm?"

Palki giggled, snuggling closer to him. "You'll just have to keep taking care of me," she teased.

Shaurya chuckled, "That I will. Now, close your eyes and sleep, my little baby."

He continued to hold her close, his fingers gently running through her hair until Palki drifted off to sleep. As he watched her, Shaurya's heart swelled with love and protectiveness. He kissed her forehead one last time before closing his eyes, feeling content in the warmth of her embrace.
