The Wait for an Answer

The episode begins with Shaurya looking at Kriti and saying, "You know well what happened when we tried to marry before."

A flashback is shown. Shaurya and Kriti are getting engaged. Preeta excitedly says, "I can't wait to eat the food! Let's get this done quickly." Everyone laughs.

The pandit ji asks Shaurya to make Kriti wear the ring. Shaurya gently slides the ring onto Kriti’s finger, and the room erupts in applause. Preeta claps and then tells Kriti, "Now it’s your turn. Make him wear the ring."

Kiran hands Kriti the ring and whispers, "Hold his hand firmly."

Kriti smiles and looks at Shaurya lovingly. "My Shaurya loves me a lot and will never leave me," she declares before sliding the ring onto his finger.

Everyone congratulates each other, but before the celebrations can continue, a loud cracking noise echoes through the hall. Suddenly, the roof collapses, and debris falls directly onto Shaurya.

"Shaurya!" Preeta screams as she rushes forward. Karan and the others quickly remove the fallen pieces, revealing Shaurya bleeding and unconscious.

Pandit ji looks at the scene gravely. "I told you before, Shaurya's kundali has a dosh."

Preeta holds Shaurya's hand tightly and pleads, "Tell us what we need to do to save him!"

Karan also steps forward. "Please, tell us what can be done. We can’t let anything happen to our son."

The flashback ends, and Kriti, emotional, hugs Shaurya tightly.

Meanwhile, Raajveer finds Palki searching for Shaurya. "Did you see him anywhere?" she asks anxiously.

Raajveer shakes his head. "No, I haven’t. But why are you worried?"

Palki sighs. "I don’t know where he went. He was just here."

On the other side, Karishma speaks to her niece, Sonia. "Are you sure you heard correctly?"

Sonia nods. "Yes, Bua. Kavya was asking Raajveer to call Anika, and I heard him talking to her."

She frowns and continues, "What is wrong with Bua? Why is she allowing this? And what’s wrong with you? Why do you seem so tense?"

Karishma folds her arms. "It’s Kriti. She can’t wait for even a year! She wants Shaurya to leave Palki immediately."

Sonia smirks. "So what? Do you want Palki to stay here forever? I hate her."

Karishma smiles slightly. "If not Kriti, then I’ll find someone else of our standard for Shaurya."

Sonia hugs her. "You always have a plan, Bua. That’s why I love you."

Karishma chuckles. "And you always give me tension!"

Sonia grins. "But you can handle it."

Meanwhile, Kriti looks at Shaurya with pleading eyes. "Marry me, Shaurya. Even if it’s just in a temple. Do it for my mental peace."

Shaurya steps back slightly, startled. "Kriti, I’m already married. How can I marry you? Our marriage won’t even be legally approved."

Kriti holds his hands tightly. "I don’t care. I just want you to be mine. We can do a small ceremony now, just for me. Later, after a year, we can marry properly."

Shaurya looks at her in shock. "Do you even hear yourself? Marriage isn’t a joke, Kriti."

She looks at him desperately. "If I truly matter to you, you’ll say yes now."

Shaurya sighs. "This is the biggest decision of my life. I need time."

Kriti shakes her head. "I don’t have time. My roka is happening. You have four days. If you don’t agree, I will marry Viraj on the fifth day."

Just then, Dada ji and Viraj enter. Viraj smiles. "The pandit ji is here. We came to call you."

Dada ji nods. "Come, Kriti."

Kriti casts one last look at Shaurya and then grabs Viraj’s hand, deliberately making Shaurya jealous before leaving.

Shaurya clenches his jaw in frustration. He quickly takes a pen and paper from a waiter and writes, I will marry you, Kriti. You are my top priority. I can leave everything for you. I am yours forever, Shaurya.

Just as he finishes, he collides with Palki, and the chit falls into her hands.

Elsewhere, Preeta teases Karan as he reaches for sweets. "Don’t eat them. Only I will!"

Karan laughs. "Preeta, this is not our home."

Preeta smirks. "That’s why I made a deal with two waiters instead of four!"

Karan shakes his head and then turns serious. "You want Kriti’s marriage to happen grandly because you still love her, don’t you?"

Preeta nods. "We both do. But we can’t let anyone take Palki’s rights away."

Karan sighs. "You’re right. We will make sure Kriti gets married without any problem, but not at Palki’s expense."

Dada ji walks in. "Pandit ji is waiting. Shall we begin the ritual?"

Karan and Preeta nod. "Yes."

Dada ji then asks, "Where is Palki?"

Abhay replies, "She went that way."

Dada ji smiles. "Roka can’t happen without her. She will do the shagun, so that Kriti and Viraj remain happy forever."

Abhay calls out, "Kriti, come here. We need to talk."

Palki looks at the chit and then at Shaurya. "What is this?"

Shaurya quickly snatches it back. "It’s mine. Don’t worry about it."

Palki frowns. "I won’t read it. It came into my hands by mistake. But what is written in it? Is it something important?"

Shaurya hesitates. "No. It’s nothing."

Palki tilts her head. "I thought it was business-related. You’ve been stressed lately."

Shaurya sighs. "How can you think it’s about business?"

Palki steps closer. "Because you never share your feelings. I don’t like it when you are not around me, Shaurya. And I feel like you feel the same way."

Shaurya remains silent, his emotions conflicting inside him.

Before he can respond, Raajveer calls out, "Heer-Ranjha!"

Palki quickly pulls away. "Raajveer, don’t start!"

Raajveer smirks. "Come, the roka is about to start."

Palki grabs Shaurya’s hand. "Let’s go."

Shaurya looks at their intertwined hands, his heart heavy with emotions he cannot yet voice. They walk towards the ceremony, unaware of the storm brewing ahead.
