The weekend dawned with an air of uncertainty. Shaurya knew he had to address the tension that had settled over their home.

After a somber breakfast, he decided to take Roohi to the park, hoping a change of scenery might lift her spirits and give him a chance to clear his mind.

As they walked to the park, Roohi held Shaurya's hand loosely, her usual chatter noticeably absent. Shaurya’s heart ached at the change in his daughter.

He had been so consumed by his own grief and anger that he hadn't realized the impact it was having on Roohi.

Once at the park, Roohi ran off to play on the swings, and Shaurya sat on a nearby bench, his thoughts heavy. He watched Roohi swing higher and higher, her laughter slowly returning as she played.

It was a bittersweet reminder of how resilient children could be, but it also underscored his need to protect her from further hurt.

Lost in thought, Shaurya was startled by a familiar voice. "Shaurya?"

He turned to see Kavya, his sister, walking towards him. Her expression was one of concern, and he felt a surge of relief at her presence.

"Kavya, what are you doing here?"

Kavya sat down beside him, her eyes scanning his face. "Roohi called me last night. She was upset and didn’t know who else to talk to. What happened?"

Shaurya sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I messed up, Kavya. I got angry at Palki for touching Aarohi's things, and I said some things I shouldn't have. Roohi saw everything."

Kavya nodded, her expression sympathetic. "I understand why you're upset about Aarohi's things, but you can't let your anger drive people away, especially those who care about you and Roohi."

Shaurya looked at Roohi, who was now playing with another child. "I know. I just... I don't know how to move forward. It’s been so hard without Aarohi."

Kavya placed a hand on his arm. "It's okay to grieve, but you need to let people in.

Palki seems like a wonderful person, and Roohi obviously adores her. Maybe you should talk to her, apologize, and try to explain your side."

Shaurya nodded slowly, appreciating his sister's advice. "You're right. I need to make things right."

That afternoon, after they returned home from the park, Shaurya took a deep breath and decided to call Palki.

His heart pounded as he dialed her number, each ring amplifying his anxiety.Palki answered on the third ring, her voice cautious. "Hello?""Palki, it's Shaurya," he began, his voice tentative.

"I wanted to apologize for last night. I overreacted, and I'm truly sorry for how I treated you."

There was a pause on the other end, then Palki sighed softly. "I understand, Shaurya. It’s clear you're still hurting, and I didn't mean to intrude. But I can't deny that your words hurt me."

"I know," Shaurya said, his voice heavy with regret. "I don’t expect you to forgive me right away, but I hope we can talk and find a way to move forward.

Roohi misses you, and... I realize how much you mean to both of us."Palki was silent for a moment before responding.

"Alright, Shaurya. Let's meet and talk. We both need to clear the air.

"They arranged to meet at a nearby café the next day. Shaurya ended the call feeling a mix of relief and anxiety. It was a small step, but an important one. As he prepared to tell Roohi about his plans he hoped that this meeting would be the beginning of healing not just for him, but for all of them.

That's it for today's update
