Taehyung's eyes scanned the note again, his mind racing with thoughts. He quickly grabbed his phone to call Jennie, demanding answers, but as he opened the messaging app

He saw a message from her already.

"Hey Tae, I'm going to stay at my mom's place for a while until I feel better. Need some rest and fresh air. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine.
-J"

Taehyung's eyes scanned the message, and a sly smile spread across his face. Relief washed over him, followed by a sense of freedom.

Finally, some time alone, away from Jennie's constant nagging and arguments.

He thought about the endless arguments, the constant bickering, and the never-ending list of household chores she forced him to do.

He felt like he was walking on eggshells around her, never knowing what would trigger the next explosion.

But now, with her gone, he could finally relax. He could play his music as loud as he wanted, leave his clothes on the floor, and watch TV all day

Without her complaining.

Taehyung let out a deep breath, feeling like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

He wouldn't have to deal with Jennie's drama for a while, and that was all that mattered.

He tossed his phone onto the couch, already planning his solo activities. Video games, movies, and pizza - the perfect bachelor life. No more arguing, no more stress.

Just blissful silence.

Mrs. Kim's expression changed from sympathy to shock and anger as she took in Jennie's frail appearance.

"What happened to you? You're burning with fever! Who let you leave the house in this state?" She asks worried.

Jennie tried to explain, but her mom cut her off, her voice rising.

"Taehyung, that irresponsible boy!
I knew he wasn't good enough for you. He's too selfish, too careless!"

Mrs. Kim's eyes welled up with tears as she helped Jennie inside, scolding herself for not being more protective of her daughter.

"I should have never let you move in with him. You're coming home to stay, where it's safe and warm."

As they entered the cozy living room, Mrs. Kim gently guided Jennie to the couch, tears streaming down her face.

"My poor baby, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to take care of you. You're home now, and I won't let anyone hurt you again." She hugs Jennie.

Jennie felt a mix of emotions: guilt for worrying her mom, relief for being back in a loving environment, and anger towards Taehyung...

For not taking care of her when she needed him most.

Mrs. Kim quickly grabbed her phone and dialed a number, her hands shaking with worry.

"Han Byul, dear, it's Mrs. Kim. I need your help. Jennie's come home, burning with fever and looking like a ghost. I don't know what that Taehyung did to her, but I need you to come over and check on her."

Han Byul, a kind-hearted doctor and sister of Hanbin, answered promptly. "Of course, Mrs. Kim. I'll be right there. Don't worry, I'll take good care of Jennie."

As Mrs. Kim waited for Han Byul to arrive, she couldn't help but think about how she had always wanted Jennie to end up with Hanbin.

Their families had been close for years, and she had always envisioned a union between the two. But Jennie had chosen Taehyung instead,

And now look what had happened?

When Han Byul arrived, Mrs. Kim greeted her with tears in her eyes. "Thank you so much for coming, dear. I'm at my wit's end with worry."

Han Byul smiled reassuringly and went straight to Jennie's side, examining her with a gentle touch. "Don't worry, Mrs. Kim. I'll take good care of her. She just needs rest and some medication."

As Han Byul worked her medical magic, Mrs. Kim couldn't help but whisper a silent prayer:

"Please, let Jennie see sense and leave Taehyung for good. And maybe, just maybe, she'll find her way to Hanbin's heart, where she belongs."

As Han Byul tended to Jennie's health, Mrs. Kim excused herself to make a quick call. She dialed another number, her eyes sparkling with a hint of matchmaking.

"Hanbin, dear, I need you to come over. Jennie's not doing well, and I could use your help."

Hanbin's deep voice responded, laced with concern. "Of course, mom. I'll be right there."

Mrs. Kim's heart skipped a beat.

She had always known that Hanbin harbored feelings for Jennie.

But the young man had never made a move, respecting Jennie's relationship with Taehyung.

As Hanbin arrived, his eyes locked onto Jennie's fragile form, and his expression softened. He had always loved her from afar, never wanting to jeopardize their friendship.

Han Byul noticed her brother's gaze and smiled knowingly. "Hanbin, why don't you sit with Jennie while I talk to Mrs. Kim?"

As Hanbin sat beside Jennie, holding her hand gently, Mrs. Kim and Han Byul exchanged a meaningful glance.

Maybe...just maybe..

This was the chance for Hanbin to finally express his feelings and for Jennie to see him in a different light.

Jennie, sensing Hanbin's presence, opened her eyes, and their gazes met. For a moment, time stood still, and the air was filled with unspoken emotions.
