i took a deep breath, waiting for them to announce my siblings and then myself.

"where is Uncle Alexander?" asked my youngest sister Amelia-Celeste as she peeked into the throne room.

"what?" i walked over to see what she was talking about. all i could see was Mother, standing on the raised platform, looking more worried than the night before. "what is going on?"

"maybe he overslept?" my brother Aaron laughed.

"i don't think that is what is going on." i started chewing on my nail. i looked at all of my siblings.

Amelia-Celeste; whom we call Amie, Annabelle; called Annie, and Arron, these three were the youngest of us and triplets. They were about five years younger than me.

then there was Althaeon, who we called Althie. he is our half brother, and half dragon. hes just over three years younger then me. he has twisting gold horns on his head that matches mothers, but no wings like other dragons.

then there is of course my brother Alexander who was named after our uncle. so we just call him Alex. he is of course my twin.

then there is Amethyst and Aurora who are actually my aunts and about four years older then us. mother had meet most of her siblings later in life and decided to raise these two as her own since they were so young. they are the only ones of us with chosen powers as part dragon.

one day we would all have our own roles in the four kingdoms that mother watches over. but today was my turn, i was the oldest, and was to be crowned queen of Drakaria. this is where mother was born, where she had faced many hardships that led her to becoming the great dragon.

"today marks a glorious occasion." mother begun her speech, she always gave the most beautiful speeches. "today, the first of my children is to become queen of Drakaria. i am sorry that my brother, King Alexander could not be here, there were some pressing matters that could not wait. however i am please to welcome my royal children into the room."

"Princesses Amethyst and Aurora Darken." they walked in as their names were said. "Prince Alexander Darken the second, heir to the Elven throne of El'gorin."

he looked back at me, worry in his violet eyes. "you got this." he then walked in.

"Prince Althaeon Darken, heir to the dragon throne of Ignisfatia." he walked into the throne room.

"princesses Annabelle and Amelia-Celeste Darken. Prince Aaron Darken." she announced as they walked in. as of now we did not know which would take the fairy throne if ever.

"and it is with my greatest joy as both the Great Dragon and a mother that i announce Princess Astraea Darken, heir to the throne of  Drakaria." with mothers words, the two large, golden doors to the throne room swung open to show me standing there.

i took a breath and walked up the isle to stand by my mother. i knelt at her feet. "Great Dragon." i spoke, showing my respect and bowing my head.

mother turned, picking up the crown that had been made for my rule as queen and walked back over to stand in front of me. "when i place this crown upon your head, you with arise, as not only my daughter but as a queen under my rule. do you swear to protect the people of Drakaria with everything you have?"

"i do." i answered, still bowing.

"and do you swear to rule fairly and justly as queen of this kingdom?" she asked.

"i will." i answered.

"then, with this crown, i do crown you queen of...." mothers voice cut off.
