i made it safely from the fairy realm. i looked at my map, i would have to walk back to Drakaria, it would be faster than going back to the elven palace and taking a portal. i signed, looking around me, it was so quiet, no sign of eve wildlife.

i started walking to the south of where i came from, if i walked this way i would end up on the main road and could then find my way to where i needed to go.

after a few hours of walking, i looked to the sky, it was starting to get dark. i could see in the dark, but i could also feel myself getting tired.

i started to gather some wood and pile it up. i am thankful that my mother taught me how to live in the forests. i dug in my bog until i found flint and steel, i struck them and quickly created a spark. i flew lightly on it until soon there was a decent-sized fire going.

i looked into the fire, remembering how my mother would talk to me through flames when we were apart. "i miss you mother." i felt a tear going down my face.

i dug into my bag and pulled out a bread roll and  took a bite, thankful that Carlisle had thought of everything to bring.

"whats a pretty thing like you doing out here all alone?" i stood and faced where the deep voice came from. it was the same voice as earlier.

in front of me stood a man, with pointed ears and large wings. they were covered in black feathers, they reminded me of a ravens. his hair was long, down two his back, black in color. he wore black robes that had small golden embroidery.

"who are you?" i asked as i pulled the sword my father got me out and held it in front of me. i noticed that is was not glowing. "i thought all the fairies got stuck in the fairy realm."

he chuckled. "not all of us." he walked over to the fire and knelt, warming his hands. "those of us who were not in the area at the time remained, i was surprised to see that the forest was empty."

"you warned me earlier not to go into the fairy realm." i stayed where i was, sword still in front of me.

"i did." he stood and looked at my sword. "you should never draw a weapon if you are not ready to use it."

"i can use it." i spoke, voice shaking a bit.

"i dont think you could." he took a step closer. "i warned you because you had a human with you, where did he go?"

"he became a fairy, it was that or die." i answered.

"and yet you are alive." he smirked. "i can tell you are not fairy, are you elf or dragon?"

"both." i answered honestly.

"i see, and a bit of human too." he took another step closer. "so, why come all this way to see our great fairy king?"

"that is none of your business." i took a step back.

"fair enough." he shrugged. "but i saw you here and hoped to give you some company."

i paused and thought for a moment. father had taught me that fairies cannot lie. "do you intend to harm me in any way?"

"i do not." he answered.

i put my sword back in its sheath. "then you are welcome to join me i suppose." i walked over to the fire and sat back were i was.

he sat next to me, but a little distance between us. "how am i to know that you will not harm me?"

"i wont." i answered. "but i suppose there is no way to prove that to you. whats your name?"

"Robin." he answered without thought. "and yours?"
