we were all served smoked turkey legs with roasted potatoes and vegetables. many other dishes were in the center of the table for us to help ourselves.

Carlisle looked at his plate. he picked up his turkey leg and placed it on my plate. "you need all the food you can get, it will help you heal."

"thank you Carlisle." i smiled at him, eating a fork full of potatoes.

"he just gave it to you because he wont eat meat." father rolled his eyes.

"i cant either." Lunar passed his leg to me as well.

"see James." Carlisle started. "a fairy should be a picture of elegance and grace, who do not eat meat. just look at Oberon...."

Carlisle paused as Robin took a large bit of his own leg. "keep me out of this." he took another bite.

"see," father took a bite. "meat rules do not apply to every fairy."

i started to laugh.

"meat is too good to give up." Robin said with a chuckle. "however as a light fairy, you really shouldnt be eating meat."

"see, i told you." Carlisle crossed his arms.

"well sorry your all mighty prissyness." father fake bowed in his seat.

"dont be mean father."  i said while laughing.

"shes right James, your being....." mother leaned in to fathers ear to whisper something. "RUDE!!!!" she yelled in his ear, causing him to fall back in his chair.

everyone started to laugh.

"now that was rude." father got up, picking up his chair and sitting back down.

"whats rude is people not knocking and just walking into rooms." Robin spoke as he took one of the three legs i had on my plate, kissing my cheek at the same time.

"what would you have been doing that requires knocking?" father crossed his arms on the table.

"we are married father, what do you think we were doing?" i answered for Robin. "i am pretty sure Carlisle needs spoon out his eyeballs at this point."

"wait, your married?" Aaron asked, looking confused. "since when? why were none of us invited?"

"we married in the fairy way." Robin smiled at me. "we don't do ceremonies like you do here."

"then how do you do it?" Anna asked.

i pointed to the rose on my neck. "three of these does the trick." i told her.

"one on your neck," Alex started counting. "one on your hand, i see there. where is the last one?"

i blushed a bit. "my foot."

"how would it get there?" Alex raised an eyebrow at Robin.

"i got injured." i answered. "he put it there when healing me."

"injured?" father crossed his arms. "how would that have happened?"

"i wasnt wearing shoes." i said. "i banged my foot on a scolding hot pan. it was my own fault."

"shes an absolute klutz." Alex laughed. "she's your problem now Oberon."

"now that is just mean." i stuck a fork pull of vegetables in my mouth.

"says the one who managed to fall up a flight of stairs." Alex said. "cant deny the facts."

"up a flight of stair?" Robin looked at me. "how did you manage that?"

"i am not answering that one." i blushed.

Robin leaned in to whisper in my ear. "i have ways to get it out of you later."

i could feel my whole body going red.

"be gentle with our sister Oberon." Althie laughed. "she is injured right now."

"how did you know what i said?" Robin asked.

"dragon hearing." he answered. "pretty sure mom, uncle Alexander, and aunt Alana heard it too."

i looked at them and sure enough, they were all looking away from me.

"why is it you are the only one of your siblings with horns?" Robin asked, curiously.

"its best not to dig up that trauma." i said quietly to my husband.

"its okay." mother spoke. "Althie's father is not really James. even though he raised him as his own, his birth father was the former king of the dragons. Alana is caring for his throne until he comes of age as she is his fathers sister."

"so she is your aunt both through marriage and through birth?" Robin asked Althie.

"yes." Althie answered.

"so you fell in love with a second man?" Robin asked mother.

"no." mother said coldly. "i did not love that man. you did not know so i will forgive you this time, but Althie's birth father was a monster of a man. his real father, the one who stepped up is James."

"our family tree is a mess." i said. "it really is best i tell you it in private."

"my apologies." he bowed his head to mother.

"it is fine." she was as graceful as ever.

"so, Oberon." Alex spoke. "what made you fall in love with my sister?"

"i am not sure what drew me to her at first." Robin started. "at first i was trying to chase her from the forest, but then there was something about her that made me feel weak at the knees, like i wanted to stay by her side and keep her safe."

"Robin." i spoke softly, my heart beating quickly.

"wait, whos Robin?" Annie asked.

"Oberon Robin Darkfire." i said. "Robin was the name he gave me when we met."

"and she gave me Star." Robin said looking into my eyes. "she was truly a wonder."

i could feel myself blushing again.

"well then." mother stood from the table. "it is best we all retire for the night, Astraea, congratulations on your marriage, but you need to get some rest."
