"Should we just leave? I mean the Bat has never been late more than by 10 seconds. It's already been five minutes now" Green Lantern heaved a sigh and lowered his voice as he sank in his seat with his arms crossed. "It's almost leaving me all worried".

Wonder Woman smiled slightly and shook his head. "I'm sure he will be here in no time"

"Oh and I hope the Big Blue Guy is okay" Flash commented glancing at Wonder Woman and then Green Lantern and back. "He really didn't look like himself the last day"

"Don't remind me" Green Lantern rolled his eyes as a chill ran down his spine. He was never ever going to bad mouth Batman. Ever.

Just when the Flash was about to make a funny remark, the AI announced the arrival of both Batman's and Superman's arrival and everyone looked up with amusement and curiosity.

Why were they coming in together? Coincidence?

The Flash did a quick run out of the room and came back inside in a second (literally) , his face wearing a horrified expression. "Guys..."

"Are you okay, pal?" Green Lantern rose to his feet as his ears faintly picked up voices in the hallway.

"You have to see this" The Flash said almost breathless and the other two followed him out the door.

Their jaws nearly dropped off their head when they saw what exactly it was Flash was referring to.

Batman was desperately clawing at Superman's face while trying to get away from him, grumbling out curse words as Superman held him by the scruff of his neck (cape??) like one would hold a kitten.... And he had the biggest , brightest smile on his face.

"Put me down, you hay-eating clown-faced Farm boy!" It was all friendly insults Batman, no, Bruce often spat at Clark whenever he overwhelmed him with whatever he did. So it only cracked him up even more.

Batman suddenly paled as he swung his head and saw the rest of the league watching them with a dumbstruck face.

"Put me down" he hung his head low and grumbled, feeling all flustered. Superman noticed the change in his tone and fwipped his head to see why Batman suddenly became quiet.

He scoffed and silently let Batman down, he clasped his shoulders and dragged him along with him into the meeting room. "What are ya'll standing around for, we're already late because someone was busy brooding in his cave" he grinned as he walked past the others, leaving them even more left out.

"What in the world--" Green Lantern turned around on his heels and watched Superman with a questioning gaze as the other man just casually plopped down on his chair.

"Please, everyone. Take your seats" Batman sounded even more grumpy than he usually was , though he sounded unexpectedly calm at the same time.

"Superman, are we--"

"Clark" Superman spoke up with an assertive tone and everyone fell silent once again, watching him with confused faces. "Clark Kent. Reporter at the Daily Planet. That's who I am"

"Superman--" Batman started, though he didn't put an effort into making Superman shut up.

"And He is...." Superman pointed his index finger at Batman with a what-you-gonna-do-about-it look on his face  and continued, "Bruce Wayne. I bet ya'll know who that is"

Batman rubbed his temples as Green Lantern sprang up off his seat. "He's Who!?"

"Don't believe me?" Superman got up from his chair and pulled Batman closer to him, then pulled his cowl down for everyone to see. Though it made an electric shock run through him , he was expecting it and in turn, it couldn't do him much damage.

"Holy ...Guacamole!"

Everyone let out an involuntary gasp as Bruce Wayne just stood there with an exhausted face.

He was a mere human afterall....and Bruce Wayne of all the people.

"Clark--"

"What?"

"Move"

Clark realised he was standing too close to the other man and retreated with a scoff, and shifted his position to stand beside him, as he swung an arm around his shoulder.

"He isn't usually this grumpy, actually" Clark lifted his hand to Bruce's face and tapped his cheek, much to his discomfort. Whatever high ground Bruce thought he was on, Clark was determined to pull him all the way down to where he stood, and keep him there alongside the rest of them. They were all supposed to be one friendly family. "I am the only one friend he has, right Bruce?" He grinned and Bruce smacked at his hand. A failed attempt at trying to free himself.

Bruce let out an annoyed grunt and pointed his fingers at each of the leaguers as he spoke in a grim voice, "Diana Prince, Hal Jordan, Barry Allen"

"Sorry,what-- how did you--"

"Hn. I have resources"

"Of course you do!" Green Lantern scoffed and threw his arms up in the air. "And here I thought you were some blood thirsty vampire on a side quest to ridding the world of evil"

Bruce couldn't help but roll his eyes. He was a bit surprised that none of them made a scene for him looking into their lives. He expected atleast to be showered with some hate words.

Maybe everyone was not as grim as he made them out to be.
