Chapter Ten: Final Girls

Present DAy,
December 14th.

The girls all got a text from Faran saying that they had to meet now. So they were back at Pinball Pizza again.

"Oh my God." Mouse said to the news she heard.

"Holy shit." Noa also got out from what they were all told. "So, Sheriff Beasley raped Angela?"

"I also learned something about Sheriff Beasley." Imogen spared a glance at Mickey. "That he and my mom dated in high school."

The others looked shocked at what she revealed.

Imogen had thought that when she was talking to her dad over the phone, that he was initially talking about Maxine, without actually knowing that it was her, and her mother back in highschool.

But to her surprise, he wasn't.

She even shared the thoughts with Mickey after they had searched through the yearbooks and came up with their new reveal. The two had agreed that it was supposed to be Mickey's mom that Imogen's dad was actually talking about, about her highschool sweetheart.

"Also... someone dug up my mom's body."

It looked hard for Imogen to get that out.

The girls looked to Mickey, and the girl was just as shocked upon hearing that.

"Woah, what the fuck? You didn't say shit to me about that one." Mickey expressed as she was more alert at the new situation they had on their hands.

"Why do you think I passed out? He called and told me."

"Okay, well we didn't exactly get around to that part before you dragged me off to the library for some deep digging."

The Honrada girl questioned Imogen, "Who would that?"

"A legit fuckin' psycho." The Diaz girl commented playing with one of her rings, twisting it around her finger to mess with it and kept her hands busy.

"My guess? Maybe Sheriff Beasley."

"Wait, your mom and Sheriff Beasley?" Tabby asked again. "But what about your mom and her mom? I thought that they were together back in high school."

Tabby looked to Mickey next and the girl all but shrugged, having no idea.

"We still really don't know a thing." Mickey informed. "Maybe it could have been this big ol classic love triangle thingy. I don't know. Don't ask me."

"Do you guys think Sheriff Beasley could be A? Maybe he killed my mom to keep her quiet because she knew what he did to Angela."

Faran came closer to the table and shared her thoughts, "I definitely think he should remain a suspect."

"I thought A was the train car guy."

"I been told y'all it wasn't him." Mickey told Noa with a shake for her head, finally feeling better that the others were thinking otherwise with their sudden doubts about it being him as well. "Didn't believe me."

"Imogen, if your mom and Sheriff Beasley were together and he attacked Angela, that's our connection. Even if he's not A." The Haworthe girl pointed out.
