First Meeting (Alberta x Texas)

Alberta quietly paced through the halls of Parliament Hill, going over the future events in her head as if it would perfect it. All she needed to do was strike up conversation with a state. But, God almighty, there were fifty of them! With her luck, she'd go and talk to the state or states that don't like her.

She'd been calling her best friend, Sonora, who relentlessly assured her it was going to be a-okay. Even so, she couldn't shake the anxiety of seeing the states. Sure, her father's country borders the states' country, and the provinces and states would talk in meetings, and at parties, and at country get togethers....

'Why the fuck am I freaking right now?' she thought.

She took a deep breath, and opened the door to the meeting room.

It was jam packed full of states, provinces, tribes, and two countries. She had been hoping to talk to her father before the meeting, but he drifted away and ended up talking to America instead. They hadn't see each other on a non-work related thing for years, so she wasn't mad in any way.

Well, she was mad. Just not at her father.

"WoooOOOOO EEEE, that shit's good! Ya got any more, hun?"

It was the one, the only....

Quebec.

Why wouldn't she get drunk at this? Better yet, why did Alberta think she was going to stop calling people 'hun'?

"Quebec!" She angrily whispered as she slid her way past states and provinces to her older sister. By the time she had gotten there, the poor state, of which Alberta was pretty sure was named Vermont, had managed to slip out of Quebec's unintentionally aggressive hug.
"What did I miss?"
"Awww, honey~ Now you wanna know whatz going onnn?" her sister replied drunkenly.
Alberta scoffed and said, "Yes! I want to know what's going on. Are all the provinces okay?"
"Yuppity *hic* yup."
"And the territories?"
"Indeed-io."

She nervously looked around for a second, as her eyes grew with fear and mostly anger.
"Quebec," she said, almost snarling.
"Hmmmmmmmmmm...?"
"Where's Nunavut?"
"whO?"
"Our baby sister!"
"Oh, she with the Tex-mex food dude, we good."
"What?"

Quebec threw up her hand to try and point at the previously mentioned person, but due to being drunk off her ass, her hand was waving all over the place. Once she realized this, she huffed and slapped her hand down before trying to balance on the nearby table. To Alberta's dismay, the table was actually two put together and Quebec fell through, making quite a racket.

As Alberta tried to cover her flag, in hopes of this not following her to her death bed, her father's friend America came over to them and had a look of "Here we go again."

While America tried to gently lift Quebec, before giving up due to the province's stubbornness, Alberta tried to ask more about her sister.
"Texas? That's who she's with?"
"Mmhmm. He's Mexico's bio son, remember?"
"Oh yeah. One of the 'I will take in every single child because I love kids and want them to have a good childhood' ones?"

America stifled a laugh before saying, "Yes, yes, I've got too many kids! Your father has made that quite clear over the years. Texas is pretty nice though..."
"No, no!" Alberta said, already knowing what he was going to say. "No more set up dates! Maybe he's nice, but I've got figure it out myself."
"Alright, but-" America said before being cut off by another one of his kids.
"You're missing outttt!" American Samoa said while speeding by them on an electric scooter.

The two shared a look of 'What the fuck' before America muttered, "She doesn't even have a scooter... How-" he looked up at Alberta and talked normally, "Who'd she steal it from?"
Alberta gave him an apologetic face before shrugging.
"*sigh* I'd better make sure she doesn't trample someone again. Texas is to the right, okay?"
"Okay, good luck."
