Morning sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating Taehyung's face as he woke up with a start. His heavy eyelids struggled to open, weighed down by the exhaustion of the previous day. He rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the fatigue.
As he got out of bed and began to freshen up, his gaze fell on the clock. His heart sank. It was late. He had overslept. Missed calls from Kang, James, and the director he was working with flashed on his phone screen.
"Oh shit, what's wrong with you, Taehyung?" he muttered to himself, hurrying to get ready.
But as he was about to leave, his eyes landed on the frame of Yn's picture on his nightstand. He froze, his heart skipping a beat. He rushed back to the frame, his lips brushing against the glass as he kissed it tenderly.
"I miss you..." he whispered, his voice barely audible.
He hesitated, his lips hovering over the frame. The words he wanted to say next felt stuck in his throat.
"I...I lo...ve you," he stammered, his voice cracking with emotion.
Taehyung's eyes lingered on Yn's smile, his heart aching with longing. He left the frame, his footsteps echoing in the silence as he rushed out the door.
The weight of his emotions threatened to overwhelm him, but he pushed on, driven by a newfound determination.
James and Kang stood at the exit of the hotel, ready with cars and guards, their faces beaming with smiles. They exchanged a glance, and their eyes sparkled with amusement, knowing that they had seen the clip that had gone viral on social media. Jimin and the ARMY had shared it, and it had spread like wildfire.
For the first time in days, they felt a sense of happiness and relief. The tension and worry that had been weighing them down seemed to lift, replaced by a sense of hope and optimism.
Just then, Taehyung emerged from the hotel, rushing as if he was running late. But as he approached them, he stopped dead in his tracks, taking in their happy faces.
For a moment, he looked puzzled, unsure of what to make of their smiles. Then, he shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips, and entered the car.
The atmosphere inside the car was electric, the air thick with anticipation. James and Kang exchanged another glance, their smiles growing wider.
"Looks like someone's finally waking up," James whispered to Kang, her voice barely audible.
Kang chuckled, nodding in agreement. "About time, too."
Taehyung, oblivious to their conversation, stared out the window, his mind still reeling from the events of the previous day. But as he caught sight of Jane and Kang's happy faces in the rearview mirror, he couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity. What was going on? And why were they so happy?
Taehyung turned to Jane and Kang, about to ask them what was going on, but his phone rang, interrupting him. He picked up, and a cheerful voice invited him to a dinner party that evening, mentioning that several K-pop artists were also in New York for a fashion event. Taehyung agreed, and as he ended the call, the person on the other end said, "Sir, I'm a fan of you both."
Taehyung's confusion deepened. "Both?" he repeated, unsure who they were referring to.
The voice clarified, "Your wife and you, sir."
Taehyung's eyes widened in surprise, and a slow smile spread across his face. He thanked the person and hung up, his mind racing.
What was going on? Why was someone talking about him and Yn as a couple? He turned to Jane and Kang, who were exchanging knowing glances.
