At taehyung's mansion
The next day, at Taehyung's mansion, the atmosphere was electric with excitement. Today was the day they had all been waiting for - the shopping trip! Taehyung's mom had meticulously planned the outing, with Jimin taking charge of the arrangements. The plan was to shop for the baby and Yn, and Jimin had ensured that every detail was perfect.
As they gathered in the dining room for breakfast, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Mrs. Kim discussed the adorable baby clothes and beautiful outfits they would find for Yn. Jimin nodded, checking his watch, reminding everyone they had reservations for lunch and dinner at exquisite restaurants.
However, amidst the chatter, one person was noticeably absent - Yn. Taehyung, who was still in New York for his project, was also missing, but his absence was expected. The focus was on Yn, and her absence was starting to concern everyone.
"Where's Yn?" Mrs. Kim asked, glancing at her watch for what felt like the hundredth time. "We need to get going soon."
Jimin got up to check on her, his footsteps echoing through the hallway. He approached Yn's room, noticing the door was slightly ajar. Pushing it open, he found Yn fast asleep, her gentle breathing a soothing sound.
But what Jimin didn't know was that Yn had cried herself to sleep the night before, her heart still heavy from the incident with Jeet's phone. The memories of Taehyung's doubt and anger still lingered, making it hard for her to shake off the pain.
As Jimin waited for Yn to wake up, the family continued their conversation, their voices hushed to avoid disturbing her. But little did they know, Yn's sleep was not just a simple slumber - it was an escape from the emotional turmoil that still lingered within her.
Mrs. Kim got up from her seat and made her way to Yn's room, determined to wake her up. She gently knocked on the door before entering, finding Yn already awake, lying in bed with a blank expression.
"Good morning, dear! Today's the day we've been waiting for - our shopping trip!" Mrs. Kim announced, trying to sound as cheerful as possible.
Yn forced a smile, putting on a fake mask of happiness. "Good morning, Mom. I'm excited," she said, her voice lacking enthusiasm.
Mrs. Kim didn't notice Yn's sadness, too caught up in her own excitement. "Wonderful! We're going to have a fantastic time, I just know it. We'll find the most adorable baby clothes and some beautiful outfits for you."
Yn nodded, still wearing her fake smile. "That sounds great, Mom. I'll be ready soon."
Mrs. Kim beamed with excitement. "Take your time, dear. We're not in a rush. But don't forget, we have reservations for lunch and dinner, so let's not be too late."
Yn nodded again, feeling like she was suffocating under the weight of her own sadness. She wanted to break down and cry, but she couldn't, not in front of Mom.
As soon as Mrs. Kim left, Yn's smile faltered, and she let out a deep sigh. She felt like she was living a lie, pretending to be happy when she was really dying inside. But she knew she had to keep up the act, for the sake of everyone around her.
With a heavy heart, Yn got out of bed and began getting ready for the day, her movements mechanical and lifeless. She knew she had to put on a good show, but it was getting harder and harder to pretend.
Downstairs in the dining room, Mrs. Kim was chatting with Taehyung over the phone. Yn walked in, looking radiant despite her inner turmoil. Mrs. Kim excitedly said, "Wait, Taehyung, Yn's here. Do you want to talk to her?"
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat. He yearned to talk to Yn, to apologize and make amends. He took a deep breath and said, "Give her the phone."
Mrs. Kim approached Yn, handing her the phone. Yn smiled politely and moved to a corner, expecting a private conversation. Everyone thought the couple wanted a romantic moment, but little did they know, the couple was struggling to connect.
