As Yn said hello, Taehyung felt a sudden flutter in his heart. He wanted to be near her, to hold her and never let her go. But he knew he couldn't, not yet. So he started a conversation, trying to sound casual, asking about her, if she had eaten.
Yn replied with short answers, her voice still husky from sleep. Taehyung's heart ached with longing, but he continued to chat, trying to keep the conversation light.
As Yn started yawning, Taehyung knew it was time to end the call. But then, he saw the scars on her shoulders again, and his curiosity got the better of him.
"Yn, what happened to your shoulders?" he asked, trying to sound concerned.
But Yn's response was cold, her voice dripping with disdain. "It's none of your business, Mr. Kim. Don't you remember? I'm just a contract woman."
Taehyung felt a pang of hurt, but he knew he deserved it. He had hurt Yn, broken her trust. He couldn't expect her to open up to him so easily.
"I'm sorry, Yn," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to pry. I just...I care about you."
Yn's expression softened slightly, but her voice remained firm. "I need time, Taehyung. Please, just give me space."
Taehyung nodded, even though she couldn't see him. "I will, Yn. I promise. I'll give you all the time you need."
As they ended the call, Taehyung couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. What had happened to Yn's shoulders? And why was she pushing him away? He knew he had to be patient, to give her space, but it was hard when all he wanted was to hold her, to protect her.As Taehyung cut the call, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. Seeing Yn, even if it was just a brief glimpse, had lifted his spirits. He couldn't help but smile as he thought about her, about the way she looked in that red gown.
He reminded himself of their conversation, of the way Yn had hesitantly opened up to him. He thought about Jimin's visit to his office, and the words of encouragement he had offered.
And then, there was James' news - Yn was sick. Taehyung's heart had skipped a beat at the thought of her suffering. But Mia's words had offered a glimmer of hope - Yn cared about him.
With all these thoughts swirling in his mind, Taehyung made a decision. He was ready to give their marriage a chance, to forget the past and start anew. He would forget everything that Nish mother had manipulated him into believing, and start fresh.
As he lay in bed, Taehyung couldn't help but look at the photos of Yn on his phone. He had taken them during their dating period, and today during the video call. He couldn't help but wonder, what if?
The red gown suited her perfectly, and Taehyung found himself imagining a night with her, just like he had before. He was behaving like a typical college lover, but he couldn't help himself.
He promised himself that when things got right between them, on their first night together, he would gift Yn a red gown. It would be his way of showing her, of telling her, how much he loved her.
As he drifted off to sleep, Taehyung smiled, feeling a sense of hope, of possibility. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to try, for Yn, for their love.
The thought of Yn in that red gown lingered in his mind, a constant reminder of what he wanted, of what he was willing to fight for. He knew that he had a long way to go, but he was ready to take the first step.
With a newfound sense of determination, Taehyung fell asleep, his heart filled with hope and his mind filled with dreams of Yn.Taehyung woke up feeling like a new man, ready to take on the day and win back Yn's heart. He stretched his arms and let out a loud "Ah, I'm ready to conquer the world...or at least Yn's heart!" But first things first, he needed to get in touch with her. He picked up his phone and started dialing her number, but she wasn't answering. "Hmm, maybe she's just busy being fabulous?" he thought. But after trying a few more times, he realized she was probably just avoiding him.
Undeterred, Taehyung decided to call in the big guns - Pri, Yn's sister and his self-proclaimed "saviour". He dialed her number and she answered with a cheerful "Annyeong, Korean brother-in-law! Why are you calling me?" Taehyung tried to sound nonchalant, "Oh, I was just missing Chikoo, you know, Yn's adorable nephew...and also Yn, but mostly Chikoo." Pri wasn't having it, "Oh shut up, Taehyung! I know Yn didn't answer your call. You're not fooling anyone with that Chikoo excuse!"
Taehyung sighed, "Okay, fine. You caught me. I just want to see Yn, talk to her...and maybe, just maybe, get a glimpse of Chikoo's adorable face." Pri teased him, "Oh, maybe because you were a big meanie to her? And also, Chikoo is not a consolation prize." Taehyung laughed, "Hey, I was not that mean! I was just...creatively expressing myself." Pri giggled, "Creatively expressing yourself? That's a nice way of putting it! More like creatively breaking Yn's heart."
Taehyung pleaded with Pri, "Pri-ssi, please help me! I promise to be on my best behaviour." Pri smiled, "Okay, okay. I'll talk to Yn. But you have to promise me one thing..." Taehyung eagerly agreed, "Anything, Pri-ssi! I'll do anything!" Pri said, "You have to promise me you'll be patient and understanding. No more being a big meanie." Taehyung grinned, "I promise, Pri-ssi! I'll be the most patient and understanding husband ever!"
