MIKEY

[MUCHO-KUN IS the traitor.]

Takemitchy's appalling news came in as a bombshell to my ears, and it took me a moment to process this revelation. I never thought that someone who had sworn his loyalty to the gang would be capable of such treachery. I put my trust in him and treated him as one of us. Mucho hated traitors and yet, who knew he would be the one to turn against us one day? But why would he betray his own comrades and choose to side with our adversary? What was his true intentions? Was he always the enemy's implanted spy? Did he not consider us as his comrades?

I knew that Takemitchy had no reason to lie to his commander and I trusted him wholeheartedly. Takemitchy told me a gist of what truly happened yesterday in our phone call. He told about how Mucho showed his true colors and had him and Inui used as hostages to force Koko into joining Tenjiku.

Tenjiku thought that Koko's money-making ability could be put to great use in their gang and thus, they resorted to such despicable tactics just to recruit him.

But what surprised me the most was Mucho revealed to be one of the members of the S-62 Generation and had long been loyal to their chosen leader, Kurokawa Izana.

It was a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that someone we trusted had been playing us all along. The betrayal cut deep, and it left a sour taste in my mouth. How could Mucho, who had fought alongside us and shared in our victories and losses, turn his back on us so easily for the sake of the enemy?

This reminded me of our fight against Valhalla and Baji's betrayal, and I couldn't help but question my own capabilities as Toman's reputable commander. Did I fail everyone as their leader? What could have gone wrong?

As I immersed myself in deep thought, I felt a gentle pat on my shoulder, breaking me out of reverie. I glanced to my side to see my girlfriend, Y/N, sitting beside me on the sofa. It was only just the two of us in the house right now since both Grandpa and Emma had their own agendas today and will be back sometime in the afternoon. We did nothing but chill out in the living room and watch anything that was on the TV.

"You're spacing out. Are you sure everything's okay?" Y/N asked in a soft tone. There was a touch of concern in her voice. "You've been acting strangely ever since that phone call. Are you still bothered by the traitor you've mentioned?"

I nodded truthfully. "Honestly, yes. I wasn't expecting Mucho to deceive all of us," I said to her with obvious dismay. "You know how much I detest betrayals. It was like we're going through another Baji all over again."

Y/N only hummed in understanding, her expression softened. "What are you going to do now?"

I breathed a vexing sigh. "I'm planning to meet with Takemitchy and the rest of the First Division this afternoon. I want to hear the whole story from their own mouth and then, decide our next course of action. This matter is something our gang should not be taken so lightly. Especially now that the entire Fifth Division become our worst enemies."
