They called for a feast.

Supper would come soon, their troops tired. Cersei and Ser Jaime had been taken to the Black Cells along with the other Lannister prisoners. Maester Kedry had run to the Grand Maester's tower to send ravens to every last lord and lady in Westeros– the Iron Throne was sat by a Targaryen King once more. Today was a day of celebration through the whole of the Realm.

As soon as Viserys had composed himself, he spoke to the lords, "For my first act as King, I do this day name my sister, Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, The Mother of Dragons, The Unburnt, The Dragon Princess, and The Breaker of Chains, as Princess of Dragonstone, my heir until one of my own is born. I ask that you serve her faithfully, that you not forget that it is because of her that we are here."

Daenerys's eyes sparkled with tears as Viserys beckoned her to the throne. He took her hand and she knelt. "Dear sister," said Viserys. "I wish I'd believed you from the start. We are here because of your dreams. Your hopes, never dashed. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You did not know our mother, but I did, and I say without a doubt that she would be so, so very proud of you."

"Thank you, Viserys," whispered Daenerys tearfully.

"To my Kingsguard," said Viserys as Daenerys took her place to the left of his throne. "You have defended me and my heir since we first left Norvos. Some of you were not knights. Some of you were asked to bear this burden without knowing if it would yield anything. You trusted me and kept me safe and you have my gratitude. I ask that you kneel if you wish to be knighted this day, if you wish to be affirmed as part of my Kingsguard. I will not hold it against you if you change your mind. You have done so much already, and I wish for you to still have the chance to return to the lives you once lived."

"Return to our lives?" said Ser Cletus Yronwood with a smirk. "This is our life now, Your Grace. It's been fun. Wouldn't trade that for anything. You're not only our King anymore. You're our friend."

He was the first to kneel, followed by Ser Archibald Yronwood, Quentyn, Ser Barristan, Ser Gerris Drinkwater, and Ser William Wells. With a smile, Viserys stood and unsheathed his sword. "Do you swear before the eyes of gods and men to defend those who cannot defend themselves, to protect all women and children, to obey your King, and to fight bravely when needed and do such other tasks as are laid upon you, however hard or humble or dangerous they may be?"

"I do," they said. Viserys stepped over each, making a special reverence over Quentyn, smiling down. "Dear Quentyn. I know your sister will already be honoring you, but I wish to do the same. You are a kind soul who I never doubted for a moment. You have a good heart and you are an excellent warrior. It was you who helped me realize many things about myself, and you who I hold the deepest respect for. I do this day name you, Prince Quentyn Nymeros Martell, a knight of the Kingsguard."

Quentyn's lips turned upwards, and Ysira swore he had dared to finally smile. "Rise," called Viserys. "My knights of the Kingsguard, my loyal companions and friends. I will not forget your valiant deeds and your great care."

"To King Viserys!" shouted Ser Barristan, raising his sword.

"To King Viserys!" the others chanted.

Viserys smiled as they lowered their swords. "Now, then. I ask that each of our lords and captains come, so I might thank them personally."

Ysira and Daenerys remained with him as a line formed, guided by the Kingsguard, for their many allies to come and bend the knee or otherwise declare allegiance as they accepted his blessing. Robb had leaned over to hug Viserys, and told him he was eager to know more about him. Prince Oberyn had kissed the top of his head then turned to do the same to Ysira and Daenerys. Lord Randyll had done the most extravagant gesture, unsheathing his sword and laying it over his knee to declare for Viserys.
