This muthafucker has to be out of his mind if he thinks he can waltz in his ass back into my life and take control again. No. A grimace covers my face as my hand collides hard against Eryx's face. He doesn't even flinch as he glances down at me as he touches the side of my face. By the look on his face, he was expecting me to hit him. "I should have fucking killed you that night", I yell in his face. Without a second thought, Eryx firmly grasps my throat in his hands. "Oh hell no", I hear Zolani say, but Arsenio holds her back as she tries to move toward me. "I wouldn't interfere if I were you", Arsenio places his hands around Zolani's waist holding in place. She tries to break free, but Arsenio whispers something in her ear that causes her eyes to widen in fear. She nods and then leans back in her seat.

I hear Eryx laughing and shift my head around to look at him. "I can't find any of this husband. Do me a favor and let me and my friend go". I place my hands on top of him which is resting on my neck, but he pushes my hands away. "I would rather rot in hell before I let you get away again", He then removes his hands from around my throat. "I must say you gave me a run for my money. It took me five years to track you down". 

I roll my eyes and laugh in his face sarcastically. "For you to be a powerful mafia leader, you couldn't track your own wife down". Eryx then looks over at Arsenio and nods his head toward the door. Arsenio looks at me one final time before he takes hold of Zolani and gets out of the vehicle. I try to follow behind them, but Eryx pushes back into the seat. "You my cherie are not going anywhere". I shake my head defiantly. "You can't do this to me. I've built a new life for myself here". Eryx removes the mask on my face. "Sweetheart, I would give you the world and more, but you decided to leave on your own accord".

I open my mouth to argue, but Eryx places his fingers against my lips stopping me. "I wouldn't have run away if you would have been honest with me from the very beginning. For a moment, I see the darkness Eryx shows solely to those he considers to be his enemies. My body shakes as Eryx leans his face forward and glares down at me. 

"I don't take kindly to anyone crossing me, not even you,...Verena". He then slides his finger down my face until he grabs my chin in his hand in a tight grasp. I bite the corners of my lips as his breath touches my face. "I hate you", I manage to get in labored breaths. A sinister smile is plastered on Eryx's face and he places a soft kiss on my lips. "Keep telling yourself that wife, but I know the truth...you belong to me, body, mind, and soul".

I feel tears slide down my face as I close my eyes once again. I will not allow him to take my joy away from me. I then open my eyes again and glare at Eryx as he places his seatbelt across his body. "You might have my body, mind, and soul, but one thing you will never possess again is my heart". 

Eryx stares at me without saying anything, I can see that my words have tampered with his month. I grin inwardly as I see Eryx's facial expression change from amusement to anger in a matter of seconds. "You enjoy getting a rise out of me. But you have forgotten that I have to conquer all". He then places his hand against my warm cheek. "You my cherie, I will enjoy conquering again".

This chapter is fairly chapter being I didn't want to prolong the scene too much far. Hope you are enjoying the story so far.
