The trip to France with Eryx was still settled deeply into my mind so much that I dreaded coming to my 9 am Internal Medicine lecture this morning. If it wasn't for the Doordash driver ringing my doorbell, waking me up from my sleep for a plate of buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, and fried hashbrowns, Eryx had made a habit of making sure I was well-fed before going to campus throughout the week, I probably would have lounged around all day doing completely nothing.

I barely can comprehend anything my professor has been discussing for the past hour or so being my eyes have wandered to the grandfather clock sitting above the whiteboard that is filled with various notes I have been typing away on my Macbook. Being in medical school has been a challenge and some of the load has been taken off of my shoulders, now that I have two academic tutors, Clarissa, and Miguel, both of who are in the last year of medical school here at the University of Alphacrest.

I've only had three sessions with Clarissa and Miguel and they have given me so much reassurance and clarity with a better understanding of medical practice techniques and terminology. I sigh in utter relief when my professor finally stops talking and dismisses everyone from class. I am happy that I sit on the end of the row in my 150-seat lecture hall on the 3rd aisle so that I do not have to make a run for it to beat the massive crowd. Just as I manage to place my Macbook inside my Northface backpack and place the straps around my arm, a conversation between two of my classmates catches my attention.

"I can't wait to attend Blaze's Halloween party next week, he's hosting it at Majestic Nights", a petite ebony-brown woman who stands below average at 5 foot even, whose beautiful textured hair is styled in bohemian braids that accentuate her strong jawline and brightly colored almond eyes. She makes eye contact with me and then asks, "Hey Verena, is that your name right". I nod and walk over closer taking a look at the other woman, standing beside her towering over her by six inches, and her honey blonde Peruvian body wave hair stops at the middle of her back. Her eyes roam down my body as if she is judging my appearance her eyebrows are raised high, her arms are crossed, and a stern expression covers her face.

"So, this is the one you seen Eryx Vallea prancing around town with". The defensive one adds before she looks over at her friend, taking me by complete surprise, "I'm sorry but do I know you or something". I am curious to know why that girl is being so damn abrasive and rude towards me.

"My cousin Karisma works at Erotic Escapes, I am not sure if you are aware but she and Eryx were together". I then begin laughing shocking the hell out of both girls, as a smile covers my face. I then flutter my eyelashes and place my hands on the side of my hips. "Sweetie, I truly don't give a fuck about your cousin, and besides if Eryx was her man like you claimed why the fuck is he mine now". I do not even bother to give these two girls any more of my attention. This was the second time I've had a run-in regarding Karisma and didn't not fucking like it at all.

I walk out of the classroom and walk down the hallway past many lecture halls before pushing the door open that leads to an open quad where various students are walking to various academic buildings. Just as begin walking, someone calls my attention. "Hey wait up Verena". I turn around to see Blaze as many undergraduate girls gawk at him as he walks past them before he stands next to me, a smile covering his face.

"Hey," I respond. This is the first time I've seen Blaze face to face since he practically ran off when Eryx came to the library about three weeks ago. "I wanted to personally invite you to my Halloween party I'm throwing at Majestic Nights a week from now". I wasn't going to mention to him that I already heard the news about his party and continued to let him talk. He then hands me a club flyer for his upcoming Halloween party. "Sounds like it should be fun". Blaze smirks, "Do you think your boyfriend will allow you to come to the party". Why is everybody trying to get a rise out of me today, but I was not the one to play with?

"Eryx doesn't allow me to do anything I can do whatever I want". Blaze raises his hands up, "I didn't mean no harm, I just can't get over the fact that you are with a guy like that". I frown, "What the hell is that supposed to mean". "It means that you can do so much better, he is trouble". I roll my eyes and sigh, "My relationship with Eryx is none of your damn business. Your job is to grade papers, not worry about me and my man".

Blaze looks offended by my statement. "Damn, I was just trying to look out for you that's all, but Fuck it then", he says before he walks off. It was becoming apparent that I was becoming a talking piece of conversation here on campus regarding my relationship with Eryx and I didn't like it one damn bit.

An hour later, I am sitting across from Eryx at Trevor's Steakhouse as I am eating Cedar Plank Redfish that is served with a basil pesto balsamic sauce with grilled asparagus while Eryx is eating Lamb Chops with truffle steak fries. Eryx takes notice that I am not eating and shuffling my food with my fork. He wipes the corner of his mouth with his clothed napkin before he takes hold of my hand and looks into my eyes with concern.

"Cherie, what's bothering you, you haven't said a word since we have been here and you barely have touched your food". I look up at him, "I guess we are a trendy topic on campus, a few of my classmates approached me about our relationship and some girl mentioned that you used to mess around with her cousin, Karisma". Eryx has a neutral look on his face as he stares back at me, his eyes void of emotion.

"I never have been involved romantically with any woman except you, don't worry yourself about what anyone says, he leans down and plants a kiss against my lips". I sigh against his lips as I begin to smile. "Fine, you win, but I was thinking about throwing a Halloween party". I wanted to be petty since Blaze wanted to get in my business I would make sure to invite everyone in the city. Eryx nods, "Cool, I can hire an event planner for you, do worry about the cost of anything, leave it all to me. When do you want to have it".

"Next Friday". Eryx rubs my hand, "Alright, let me give my event planner a call and forward her information over to you". I'm not sure what came over to me fight fire with fire, but Blaze and everyone else was going to learn I was not the one to fuck with. "I want us to wear costumes for Halloween", I add. Eryx looks startled as he places his glass of Bourbon back on the table.

"No Cherie, I'm not wearing a costume". I then lean over and kiss his lips. "Please do it for me", I then slide my hand under the table gripping his dick as I begin to caress it gently feeling as it begins to press firmly against his slacks. "Fuck you are not planning fair, fine Cherie, I'll wear a damn costume, but I'm picking my own".

I grin excitedly as I wrap my arms around his shoulders and repeatedly peck his lips. "I already know what I am going to dress up as". Eryx then places his arm around my shoulder, "What", he asks. "You just have to wait and see".

Something tells me this Halloween party is going to be very eventful, that's all I'm going to say for the time being...
