Chapter 10

Damon had just finished wrapping Hazels gifts when the doorbell rang. He knew Caroline was occupying Hazel until it was time for them to arrive, so it had to be guests. Flashing downstairs, he opened the door to find Nik and Elijah. "Come in, other than Stefan and Elena, you're the first to arrive." The brothers followed him to the living room.

"Who else are you expecting?" Elijah asked.

"Jenna and Ric, Rose should be here, little Gilbert and then witchy. Hazel's not a big fan of witchy but gets along with little Gilbert. I think Caroline said she invited Tyler and Matt, they hang out with the girls sometimes. She mentioned you might want to speak with Tyler." Nik looked confused until Damon explained, "He's a werewolf. He had skipped town with the shewolf but came back. Hazel didn't like him at first because he was mean to her bestie but thought you would want another Hybrid and could boss him around."

Both Originals laughed, Hazel was always open and honest with others. The three were joined by the rest of the guest shortly, Stefen kept glaring at the Originals, but it seemed even Elena was over his attitude. When Caroline showed with Hazel, the party finally began.

Hazel may not like parties but she loved Damon, so she was playing nice and not ruining his hard work. She had avoided Stuffy the whole night, mainly by staying close to Nik and Elijah. She wasn't sure what his problem was but they found it funny. 

Someone had rang the doorbell so Damon went to answer it. Opening the door, he was faced with two identical redheads. "Can I help you?" He wasn't sure if these were who he thought. 

"Hello, we are looking" "For Hazel. Is she home?"

Damons eyes narrowed, "Who are you?"

Smiling, they reply "Fred" "George" "Weasley" they finish together. Seeing the recognition in his eyes, they ask "Are you" Damon Salvatore?"

Damon nods, "You're here for her birthday, good timing. We're having a party. Come in." He had heard stories of these two, twin terrors. He was surprised Hazel had told them about him, she tried to keep him away from the danger. Damon led the twins to the living room and pointed out where Hazel was.

Hazel had been talking with Nik when his eyes moved to something behind her. Curious, she turned and froze, "No way!" The twins smiled and she ran for them. Grabbing both into a hug, "I can't believe you're here!"

Fred and George hugged her back before releasing her. Both had noticed the look coming from the man she had been talking to. "Did you really think we" "Would miss your birthday, Hazel?"

Hazel shook her head, "I wasn't sure when you would be able to make it. Who's running the shop while you're here?"

"Lee" both answered. They smiled widely before saying, "We're looking for a space in" "New York to open another shop."

She squealed, "Oh, that's great!" Hazel spoke with them more, unaware of the looks coming from the Hybrid.

Nik watched Hazel speak with the two men. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't like how close they seemed to be. He must have been showing something because Elijah appeared. 

"Maybe don't glare at them like you want to murder them. I don't think Hazel would allow that." Elijah smirked.

Nik turned slightly, keeping the three in view still "Do you know who they are?"

"Damon said they are friends of hers from school." He watched his brother curiously. He had wondered if Nik like Hazel, he seemed to have his answer. 

Nik couldn't understand why he was jealous, he didn't have feelings for Hazel, did he? Hazel was very beautiful, powerful, smart and not afraid of him. Maybe there was an attraction. He would just keep an eye on her for now, you know, for her safety.
