Chapter 14

Care and the twins hugged Hazel, "I missed you guys, so" she looked to Fred and George, "Did you ask them out yet?"

Nik growled but stopped when Hazel glared at him. Sighing, he looked to his sister, "If you want to go out, I won't say or do anything to stop you from living your life." He then looked to Elijah, "The same applies to you."

Both looked at their brother with wide eyes. Nik was always threatening and killing anyone they ever tried to care for. He worried they would leave him. Rebekah looked to Hazel and asked, "What did you do with my brother, because this is not Niklaus."

Hazel smirked, "He told me what he did and may have threatened his bits if he didn't leave you to live your lives." She walked over, kissing Niks jaw, "He of course, agreed."

Nik smirked at the looks coming from his siblings. When they heard Damon yell, "Thank god, they figured it out!" Everyone broke into laughter. Walking over to them, he glared at Nik, "While I'm glad you both figured your shit out, I will kill you if you hurt her."

Nik nodded, "I understand." Looking to his siblings, he says, "Why don't we wake Kol and Finn, Katherine can sit tight for a bit."

Hazel had gone to follow the others when they left, but Nik stopped her. "Will you stay? I need at least one person on my side."

Leaning up to kiss him, "I'll stay but you have Bekah and Elijah on your side." He wasn't so sure but nodded and laced their fingers together before walking towards where the last two siblings were. 

Hazel watched anxiously as the daggers were removed from Kol and Finn. She could see the tension in Niks shoulders. He was worried they wouldn't stay. They had talked about a lot while on the road, so she knew he only ever wanted to keep his family together and safe. Mikael's death gave them the chance to have that. When he had told her about his mother, Hazel wasn't sure how to respond. Personally, she didn't care for someone who would sit by as her husband beat her son, at times, to a point of almost death. When she told Nik he should tell his siblings, he only replied with he would think about it. A noise caught her attention, and she stood closer to Nik in support. 

Nik watched as Kols eyes glanced from one sibling to the next, when they landed on him, he seen them harden. "Brother" Nik said calmly but Kol had already left his coffin to attack.

Hazel could only watch as Kol attacked Nik, he had told her not to interfere, for her own safety. So, she watched the two trade punches until Kol ran out of steam. Once he slumped to the ground, Hazel moved to Niks side. "Are you okay?" he nodded and took the blood bag she handed him. Glaring at Kol, she chucked the other blood bag at his head. 

Kol gaped at her, "What the hell did I do to you? Wait, who even are you?"

Elijah stepped forward, "Hazel broke Niklaus' curse and they're together."

Kol looked back at her, "You're a witch? Why would you want to be with him?" He sneered at his brother.

Hazel sent a hex at Kol, smirking when he yelped. "Why I'm with Nik is none of your business, and yes I'm a core witch."

"Core witch? It's been centuries since I last met a core witch." He looked her over again, smirking at Niks growl.

Nik smiled when Kol's hair turned pink, "I could always stick you back in a box, I won't even need a dagger."

Everyone turned to see Finn sitting up and staring. Hazel squealed and whispered, "Holy hell, that was like Dracula waking up." Elijah glared at her, but Nik snorted.

"Luv, you should lay off the movies."

Hazel shrugs, "I call it as I see it."
