The room was thick with tension as Jungkook stood in the doorway, his eyes locked on Lino and Chan. The kiss had shattered something deep inside him, and he could feel his blood boiling with a mix of betrayal and heartbreak.
"How could you, Lino? After all I've done for you... after all these years, how could you do this to me?" Jungkook's voice was raw with emotion, trembling with the pain that tore at his chest.
Lino's tears began to fall, his body trembling as he stared at Jungkook with wide, terrified eyes. "I-I don't know... I'm sorry, Jungkook. I didn't mean to... I don't know why I did that," he stammered, his voice cracking under the weight of his guilt.
Han and Seungmin rushed into the room, sensing the turmoil. They saw Lino's tear-streaked face, his desperate attempts to explain, and immediately tried to intervene. "Jungkook, it's not what you think," Han began, stepping forward to place a hand on Jungkook's arm. "It was just a mistake—"
"Stay out of this!" Jungkook snapped, jerking his arm away from Han's touch. His gaze was still fixed on Lino, the hurt in his eyes deepening with every word. "I want all of you out of my house. Now!"
Chan, who had been standing silently, his heart torn between regret and defiance, finally spoke up. "You know why Lino kissed me back?" His voice was steady, but his eyes were filled with a pain that matched Jungkook's. "Because he loves me. He's always loved me. That's why he's hesitant when it comes to you, Jungkook. Five years ago, it was me he was with, not you."
Lino's breath hitched, his eyes widening in shock as he looked at Chan, unable to process the words that had just been spoken. His mind raced, trying to make sense of the memories that suddenly felt so distant and blurred.
"Shut up, Chan!" Jungkook's voice was a roar of anger, his fists clenching at his sides. "Just leave. All of you, get out!"
But Chan didn't back down. "You just want to keep him to yourself," he shouted back, the frustration and sorrow in his voice evident.
Jungkook's face twisted with rage as he turned to Lino, grabbing his wrist with a force that made Lino wince. "Do you want to leave, Lino? Do you? Then just go! Leave with them if that's what you want!" He pushed Lino towards Chan, his eyes daring him to make a choice.
Chan stepped forward, his hand reaching out to Lino, but Lino took a step back, his face pale as a ghost. "No... I don't want to leave," Lino whispered, his voice shaking. He turned to Jungkook, his eyes pleading. "Please, Jungkook, don't leave me. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened to me."
Jungkook's hardened expression softened slightly as he saw the desperation in Lino's eyes. He let out a shaky breath, pulling Lino into a tight embrace. "I just... I just don't want to lose you," he whispered, his voice breaking. "But I can't deal with this right now. I need them out."
Lino clung to Jungkook, burying his face in his chest, sobbing. "Please, just let them go. I'm sorry, Jungkook. I didn't mean to hurt you. Please..."
Jungkook nodded, pressing a kiss to the top of Lino's head before looking up at Chan, Han, and Seungmin. "I want you out of my house. Now."
Chan opened his mouth to argue, but Lino's quiet voice interrupted him. "Please... please just leave."
The finality in Lino's voice crushed any argument Chan might have had. He looked at Lino, his heart heavy with regret, and nodded. "We'll go."
An hour later, after gathering their things in silence, Chan, Han, and Seungmin walked out of the house, their footsteps heavy as they left behind the warmth and memories they had shared. The door closed behind them with a resounding thud, sealing them out of a place that had once felt like home.
Inside, Lino and Jungkook sat in the living room, the silence between them suffocating. Lino's hands trembled in his lap as he glanced at Jungkook, searching for any sign of forgiveness in his eyes. But Jungkook's gaze was distant, his thoughts lost in the betrayal he still couldn't fully comprehend.
"I'm sorry," Lino whispered again, his voice barely audible.
Jungkook didn't respond.
