While McCullough walked towards the warden's office, her radio crackled to the voice CO Dixon's on the other line. "Need backup in C-block!" CO Dixon yelled. Since she was the closest to C-block, McCullough answered. "On my way" McCullough replied back. McCullough folded Alex's transfer request and shoved it deep into her chest pocket.

She pulled her collapsible baton and high-tailed it to C-block. Upon her arrival, she saw that Dixon and CO Stefanovic were trying to break up a fight between several inmates. The skirmish was between four separate women, two of which were armed with shivs. McCullough dove in to assist as Hellman wasn't far behind her.

Alex watched the fight from the entrance of her cell. It had broken out over some drug exchange gone bad. A new transfer inmate, a woman known as Pandora, was the instigator. At always, Alex had little interest in the prison drama. However, she paid closer attention when she realized McCullough had entered to break up the altercation.

Pandora, who stood nearly six feet tall, turned her rage on McCullough when McCullough had come up behind her to subdue her. Pandora's elbow connected hard with McCullough's nose, stunning for several seconds. Then, a combination of her combat training and her own anger took over. She came down on Pandora with her baton, releasing several rage-filled blows against Pandora's body and head. When Stefanovic finally had pulled McCullough away, Pandora was the one on the floor with a bleeding face. Dixon swooped in and cuffed Pandora's hands behind her back.

"We've got it now" Dixon reported, as all four inmates were finally subdued. "You might want to go to medical,McCullough."  McCullough had blood pouring from her nose and a nasty bruise beneath her eye. As McCullough stepped away from the finished fight, Alex caught a look at her face. She watched with great concern as McCullough quickly exited C-block. With all the commotion, Alex knew no one would notice if she slipped out. She snuck off the block in the same direction as McCullough.
