Once McCullough and Alex went their separate ways, Alex still had to drop by D-block with her book cart. She rolled onto the block, keeping an eye out for Nicky. Nicky saw her and made her way over to her, grabbeing a magazine from the cart and idly flipped through it. "How's the new gig, Vause?" Nicky asked.
"It's good. Keeps me busy" Alex said.
Nicky studied Alex's expression as slowly put down her magazine. "Holy shit. You look…" Nicky said, haning on her last word.
Alex: "I look what?"
Nicky: "Happy. What has you so fucking happy?"
Alex: "Nothing. I just…a certain someone did something really sweet for me."
Nicky: "Texas?"
Alex: "She has been nice enough to buy me real food. We've been spending time together this week, and it's been nice."
Nicky(smirking): "Ahhhh...so maybe my bad idea wasn't bad after all. I know you don't kiss and tell, but you gotta give me something."
Alex: "No, I don't. Besides, we haven't done anything. We're just being companions."
"Right. Companions. Like you haven't used that line before" Nicky said sarcastically. Alex rolled her eyes and puckered her lip in mild annoyance at Nikki's tone. "Are you checking out that magazine or not?" Alex challenged. Nicky put the magazine back on the cart. "You can keep it. Your life is all the entertainment I've needed lately. Let me know if your companion status changes anytime soon" Nicky said in playful tone. On that note, Nicky went back to what she was doing before Alex came onto the block.
