Lila's POV:

The bell above the door chimed as Lila and Emily walked into the boutique, their faces momentarily illuminated by the soft, warm lighting inside. The store was a labyrinth of stylish racks, each filled with clothing that whispered promises of new beginnings and fresh starts. For Lila, it was just the distraction she needed. For Emily, still raw from the breakup, it was an attempt at a balm, however temporary.

Lila, tall and striking with her dark, flowing hair and piercing green eyes, moved with a natural grace. Today, she had chosen a black, fitted top that accentuated her lean frame and a pair of skinny jeans that hugged her legs like a second skin. She was beautiful in a way that was both effortless and intimidating. Emily, normally a burst of color and energy, was more subdued today, wearing an oversized hoodie and leggings, her blonde hair tied back in a messy bun. She trailed behind Lila, her eyes scanning the store with less interest than usual.

"Look at this," Lila said, pulling a bright red dress from one of the racks. "It's practically screaming for a night out. What do you think?"

Emily glanced at the dress but didn't respond immediately. She seemed lost in thought, her eyes distant.

Lila noticed and gently placed a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Hey, Em, you okay?"

Emily blinked, snapping back to reality. "Yeah, sorry. Just... still thinking about Steve."

Lila gave her a sympathetic smile. "I know it's tough. But you're here now, and we're going to have a good time. Besides, a little retail therapy never hurt anyone."

Emily managed a weak smile. "Yeah, you're right. Maybe I just need to find the right outfit to lift my spirits."

"That's the spirit!" Lila said with a grin. "Now, let's find you something that makes you feel like a goddess."

They continued browsing, moving from rack to rack, occasionally holding up clothes and making faces at each other. Lila could see Emily slowly relaxing, her shoulders losing some of their tension.

"So," Lila said, trying to keep the conversation light, "what about something bold? You've been saying you want to change things up, right?"

Emily considered this. "Maybe. I just... I don't know. I feel like I need to find myself again, you know?"

Lila nodded, her eyes soft with understanding. "I get it. Sometimes you just need to start over. A new look, a new attitude. And who knows? Maybe a new wardrobe is the first step."

Emily laughed softly. "You always know how to put a positive spin on things. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Probably wear that sad hoodie forever," Lila teased, earning a small chuckle from Emily. "But seriously, Em, you're going to be fine. You're strong, and you've got me to help you through this."

They continued shopping, and Lila's eyes landed on a sleek, form-fitting dress in a deep emerald green—the perfect shade to complement her eyes. It was bold, daring, and screamed confidence. She held it up against herself and glanced at Emily with a playful smile.

"What do you think?" Lila asked. "Too much?"

Emily's eyes widened. "Too much? Are you kidding? That dress is hot. You have to get it."
