So the next day, at race day, I was sitting in front of the Mclaren hospitality.

It was early, very early but I knew Lando was gonna be early too. He always was.

I didn't wear long sleeves today, but I covered my tattoos up with special makeup.
He didn't need to see that part of me yet.

He had to think I was innocent and cute, not a girl with skulls, snakes and knives on her arm.

I could see Lando, he was walking up to the hospitality, so it was time for my little act.

I grabbed my phone, pretending to be on a call, and tried to look as sad as I could, even cried a little.

"Yeah well, I'm dating someone else, so please leave me alone" I said loud enough for Lando to hear it. I pretended to disconnect the call and sighed.

Put my head in my hands, crying a bit more.

Even though he possibly hated me, he would look like an absolute asshole if he didn't check on me.

So that's exactly what he did. "Are you okay?" He asked.

I looked up, quickly wiped some tears away as if I didn't want him to see me crying. "Just my ex, he's always stalking me"

"Oh" he said. "Because you are dating someone else?"

I shook my head. "No I just said that to scare him off, if he sees I'm dating someone else than he would back off but yeah.." I shrugged. "I am not ready to date someone, I guess"

"I understand" he nodded. "Well, I need to go, will you be okay?"

"Yeah, I will" I wiped my face and smiled a little. "Thank you"

He said nothing before getting in his hospitality.

Okay, this didn't turn out the way I expected it to be. I thought he would see the opportunity to fake date me.

I needed someone to fake date because I wasn't ready to date for real and he needed to fake date because he was dating a girl no one liked.

She couldn't be worse than me though.

But he didn't, he didn't jump on the opportunity and it fucking sucked. I had to come up with something else.

In the meantime, I called Mark, said I would definitely be interested in a job and he agreed to meet me.

Unfortunately, he only had time for me in two weeks. I agreed to the meeting, two weeks from now.

He wanted me to meet him in his apartment, somewhere in France. For a job interview.

Yeah he was definitely a creepy dude.

I watched the race alone because Shirley stayed in the hotel. She wasn't feeling well she said, but she looked fine.

She just didn't want to come, maybe because she found out that Max had a girlfriend.
And also because she didn't want to be in my way.

But she wouldn't, because Lando didn't grab the rope I dropped.

So after the race, I walked to the exit, ready to leave it behind and find another way to get close to number seven.

"Hey! You!" Someone yelled after me and I already recognized his voice.

I turned around, looking at Lando who was running behind me. "I still don't know your name"

"Bonnie" I chuckled.

"As in Bonnie and Clyde?"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah exactly like Bonnie and Clyde" except that I didn't need Clyde.

But I do need Lando, for now.

"So I was thinking" he said, fixing his hoodie. I had no idea how he could wear a hoodie in this weather. "I can help you with your ex problem"

"Oh can you?" I asked.

"Yes" he nodded, looked around before looking back at me. "Do you want to go to my place? Then I will explain it to you"

"My mom always told me it's dangerous to go to stranger's houses alone" I said. My mom never said though, but he had to think I was innocent.

"I am not gonna kill you" he laughed. "I promise"

But I might kill you.

I laughed as well. "Fine then, let's go"
