I've been laying in bed all day, looking up at the ceiling. I never felt more tired, drained even.

Shirley called me a few times, I didn't expect her to do. I thought she would be disgusted with me, with what I did.

Even though she knew what I did, she helped me do that.
She knew why I did that.

Only two fuckers left.

I didn't want to think about that, for once I wasn't excited to continue with my list.

What was wrong with me lately?

Taylor hasn't been found yet, I am not even sure if someone reported him missing.
No one really missed him. Which was kinda sad, not that I felt bad for him.

Not at all.

People were gonna start noticing it pretty soon, because the next race weekend was about to start.

And then, Lando would know too. If he didn't know already.

"Babes?" Shirley yelled as she walked in my apartment. "I am in the bedroom" I yelled back.

She walked in, holding some files in her hand and sat down on the edge of my bed.

"Are you okay?" She frowned.

"Yes, just tired" I sat up, pointed at the files in her hand. "What are those?"

"These are the files for your next case" she said as she handed them to me. "Your Black Widow case" she clarified.

I scanned through them, he didn't live in Monaco, he lived in England, worked there as well. This entire case was in England.

It was the teacher, a case she already send me before but she left out the part that he didn't live in Monaco.

"Yeah, I'm not doing that" I said as I gave her the papers back. "I don't know that place, besides, I don't have money to buy plane tickets, hotels and whatnot"

"Luckily, your boyfriend's next race is in Silverstone" she smiled. "This weekend to be precise"

"I am not gonna contact him just so he can pay for my plane tickets" I scoffed.

He deserved better than that.

And honestly I didn't want to be around him, not when his team would notice Taylor was missing. Not when he probably knew why.

"I kinda already did that" she tried to smile as sweet as she could.

"What?" I got up immediately. "You did what?"

"I texted him, from your number" she pointed at her laptop, she carried that thing everywhere. "He obviously wants to give you tickets, paddock passes and everything"

Why was she so determined about this? She really wanted the guy dead. She's been pushing this case in my lap for days now.

I sighed. "I don't think I'm ready for it"

I definitely wasn't ready. I wasn't in the right mindset. Not at all.

She got up, walked up to me and put her hand on my shoulder. "You are though, you're always ready"

I sighed again. "Fine"

"Yay!" She clapped her hands, sat down on the bed again. "Let's get over everything"

I sat down with her. "What did you text Lando?"

She didn't know what happened that day at my apartment, when I kicked him out and didn't call or text him back.

"Just the basic things. That you enjoyed that evening together, that you would like to see him again and whatever" she shrugged.

Yeah he must definitely know something was up.

'I enjoyed that evening when I kicked you out of my apartment?'

Yeah very believable.

"And then he invited you to the next race, pretty easy to be honest. He's so smitten" she giggled a little. "It's cute"

Great, absolutely great.

I don't think he invited me to kiss and hug, he wanted answers.

Maybe I just had to give him that. He would figure it out on his own anyways.
