I went to dinner with Sin, just like he asked me. I didn't give a shit about Nick or his new girlfriend, but Sin was right.

If I wanted some insight on the case, then I had to distract the girlfriend.

And I desperately wanted insight on the case. I needed to know who ratted me out because I was sure someone did.

The police had no reason to know I was there, they couldn't have known.

"Be nice and don't raise suspicion" Sin whispered to me as we sat down at the table. Nick and his girlfriend weren't here yet.

"I am always nice" I smiled sarcastically.

"Sure" he mumbled.

Ten minutes later, Nick walked in, walked straight to us with a smile on his face. "Hi man" he said as he put his hand on Sin's shoulder.

Sin got up and hugged him, while I gave him a quick nod.

"And little Bonnie" he nodded at me as well. "This is my girlfriend" he said, looking at the girl standing next to him.

I wasn't even paying attention to the girl next to him until now and my eyes widened a little.

"Hi, I'm Shirley" she said with a smile.

Shirley. She was his new girlfriend?

Are you fucking kidding me?

"Hi Shirley, I'm Bonnie" I smiled back at her. A sarcastic smile, I'm sure she saw that.

Sin introduced himself to her as well, even though it wasn't necessary, we all knew her.

Way too well.

Why was she doing this? To get information about the case? How long were they dating already?

He knew she had something to do with Taylor's murder right? They went around asking the Mclaren employees if they knew her.

So why was he dating her?

Sin probably saw how distracted I was because he nudged me a little. "I brought my little sister, I'm sure you already met her" he said as he looked at Nick.

"Oh yeah we met" he nodded. "How did you like the race?"

"It was good, Lando did amazing" I smiled. "How did you like it?"

"I wasn't there to enjoy the race" he tapped the table with his fingers. "I was there to catch a spider"

"And? Did you catch her?"

He chuckled a little, but didn't reply to my question.

Instead, we ordered and ate our food. I had to distract his girlfriend, that was the plan, until Shirley showed up as his girlfriend.

I couldn't distract her, I couldn't even look at her.

"I am going to the restroom" she said as she put her hand on Nick's thigh and kissed his cheek. "I am coming with you" I quickly said.

I followed her in the restroom. She walked to the sink, put her hands on it and looked at me. "Surprise?"

"Are you kidding me? What are you doing Shirley?" I asked, checking every toilet to make sure we were in here alone.

"I found a guy I like" she shrugged.

"A guy you like?" I snorted. "He's Sin's partner"

"I didn't know that when I met him" she immediately said. "You have to believe me"

"Believe you? You gave me that case, but you didn't even feel the need to tell me that you were a victim"

"Would you have killed him if you knew?" She asked.

"Of course, I would torture him, like he fucking deserved" I walked closer to her. "Did you rat me out, Shirley?"

She frowned, but before she could reply, someone else walked in.

"We will talk about this another time" she quickly said before leaving the restroom.

I shook my head as I looked at myself in the mirror. I definitely didn't believe that she was dating Nick because he was a nice guy.

I definitely didn't believe that Nick doesn't know who she is. He absolutely knows she has something to do with Taylor's murder.

But I think that she didn't rat me out. It had to be someone else, but who?

I walked in Lando's apartment, he gave me the key to his apartment as well.

And I needed some cuddling with Lando after that whole mess of a dinner.

"Lando?" I asked as I walked in. "I am in the kitchen, sunshine" he yelled back.

I walked in the kitchen, he was putting some stuff away and turned around to face me. "How was the dinner?"

I shrugged. "Interesting I guess"

"Yeah? Was his girlfriend nice?" He pointed at the bottle of water, silently asking me if I wanted some.

"Yes to the water" I laughed. "Shirley is his girlfriend"

He tilted his head in surprise. "Are you kidding me?"

I shook my head and I don't know why, but I started tearing up.
It was build up stress, I could feel my head pounding.

I had so much stress lately, but I felt as if I could relax while I was with Lando.

He put his hands on my cheeks, making me look at him. "What's wrong? What's going on?"

"How did you know where I was? In England?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Shirley texted me" he answered. I was good at knowing when people were lying, but like I noticed before, I couldn't really read Lando.

I couldn't really tell if he was honest. But I could see no reason why he would lie.

"You and I need a day together" he said, changing the subject. "We will go on the boat together tomorrow, okay?"

I nodded softly. "That would be nice"

He smiled before pressing his lips against mine.

I had to let this go, I had to move on. I had to concentrate on Lando instead.

He was my future.
